Pioneer Hi-Bred has marketed corn hybrids with tolerance to imidazoline herbicides under the trademark " Clearfield "-though in these hybrids, the herbicide-tolerance trait was bred using tissue culture selection and the chemical mutagen ethyl methanesulfonate not genetic engineering.

To some US observers these networks may appear to operate as commuter / metro hybrids, however, they are simply the result of full utilisation of the available track capacity in the core of the suburban rail network, this being fed from multiple feeder lines.

However, programming languages are often hybrids of several programming paradigms, so programmers using " mostly imperative " languages may have utilized some of these concepts.
