Cyberjet Jetfire could be partially transformed into a forward-kneed " gerwalk " mode, but his rear wings and tail made the figure too top-heavy to stand upright for very long.

Although an animation model had been created for Jetfire based on the appearance of the toy ( which could be seen in the original toy commercial advertising the figure ), this was quickly scrapped and completely redesigned so as to no longer resemble the Valkyrie.

The bio of this figure specifically noted that Jetfire was the leader of the Cyberjets, although the original figure's bio made no mention of it.

The Jetfire toy in this line is a simplified version of the Universe / Henkei figure.

The first turbocharged passenger car was the Oldsmobile Turbo Jetfire in 1962.

In 1966 a top-line Cutlass Supreme was introduced as a four-door hardtop sedan with a more powerful 330 CID Jetfire Rocket V8 than the regular F-85 / Cutlass models, a more luxurious interior and other trimmings.

The Autobot Jetfire was repainted from a Macross toy, specifically the VF-1 Valkyrie, and the character was renamed Skyfire in the animated television series program for copyright reasons.

Some technical developments of the early sporty compact cars offered in the U. S. After a lengthy trip in suspended animation, their craft was attacked by Scourge, and crashed in the Arctic, where Jetfire was frozen in an avalanche, and Omega remained in stasis in the crashed ship.

In Spring of 1962 Chevrolet really committed itself to the sporty image they had created for the Corvair by finally introducing a Convertible version and then offering a high performance turbocharged " Spyder " option for Monza coupes and convertibles, making the Corvair the first production automobile to come with a turbocharger as a factory option, with the Oldsmobile F-85 Turbo Jetfire a few weeks later in 1962.

The Jetfire and its turbocharged V8 returned, for what would be its final year.

The duo entered stasis for the lengthly trip, with Jetfire eventually awakening millions of years later as their craft approached Earth.

This led to problems for Takara when they imported the Transformers toyline — although Hasbro was able to market the Jetfire toy in their markets, Takara was not, nor could they promote it via the animated series, since the mold was owned by their main competitor.
