In 1950, Jones and Maltese began working on Rabbit Fire, a short that has changed Daffy Duck's personality forever.

Of his versions of Bugs and Daffy, Chuck Jones has said, " Bugs is who we want to be.

Daffy has also had major roles in films such as Space Jam in 1996 and Looney Tunes: Back in Action in 2003.

Daffy has also been featured in several webtoons, which can be viewed online.

More recently, Daffy has been given larger roles in more recent Looney Tunes films and series.

Following Looney Tunes: Back in Action, Warner Bros. has slowly moved the spotlight away from Bugs and more towards Daffy, as shown in the 2006 video release Bah, Humduck!

Unlike Bugs and their neighbors, Daffy has no way of earning money and relies on Bugs for food and shelter.

In 1994, corporate cousin DC Comics became the publisher for comics featuring all the classic Warner Bros. cartoon characters, and while not getting his own title, Daffy has appeared in many issues of Looney Tunes.

In a Daffy Duck cartoon called Along Came Daffy ( 1947 ), Daffy has to contend with two Yosemite Sams, one with Sam's red hair and one with black hair.

She has a contradictory relationship with Daffy as she once asked ( and threatened ) him into helping Gossamer make friends.

However, once Gossamer has friends she asks Daffy to stay away from her son despite all his hard work in helping Gossamer gain friends, although the tone she says this in is one that could suggest she was just annoyed by Daffy demanding a reward for helping Gossamer.

The two versions of the character differ, however ; the Danger Mouse Count Duckula is not a vegetarian, makes far greater use of his vampiric magic, and has an accent consisting of a Daffy Duck-like lisp ( instead of the stereotypical Transylvanian accent ), as well as occasional stuttering and duck-like squawks and quacks.

A Looney Tunes Christmas as a Security Guard who has to work overtime without pay for greedy Daffy Duck.

He has become one of few voice actors who can impersonate Mel Blanc in his prime, including characterizations of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd and other characters from Warner Bros. cartoons.

This time it's Porky Pig and Daffy Duck who run afoul of the Mob, only this time Rocky has not only one sidekick, but an entire gang.

Femme Fatale ( AKA ' The Body ,' has also been referred to as Fowl Fatale or Shapely Lady Duck ), from the 1952 Daffy Duck cartoon The Super Snooper, was a tall voluptuous bright blue-eyed, redheaded duck wearing red lipstick who bears a strong resemblance to Melissa Duck.

In all the cartoons, the wife is portrayed as identical to Daffy but wearing female items of clothing ( much the same way as the wives of the Tasmanian Devil and Porky Pig have been animated ).

This scene might have been removed because, as Gerstein theorizes, the ending scene was similar to the ending of Tex Avery's Daffy Duck and Egghead, which was released a year earlier prior to Hare-um Scare-ums release.

It has also been used in cartoons parodying classical music ( e. g. Bugs Bunny's Overtures to Disaster in which the overture's finale is performed by Daffy Duck and Porky Pig ) or Westerns ( e. g. Bugs Bunny Rides Again ).

" Shearer said in an interview that one person who " took him under his wing " and was one of his best friends during his early days in show business was voice actor Mel Blanc, who voiced many animated characters, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Barney Rubble.

Porky had a descendent in Loonatics Unleashed named Pinkster Pig ( who was also voiced by Bob Bergen ), an old friend of Danger Duck ( who was Daffy Duck's Descendant ).

This cartoon marked the first time Warner Bros. cartoon characters Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck were voiced by someone other than legendary voice artist Mel Blanc.

She is featured as main character Daffy Duck's blonde girlfriend in several cartoon shorts but is only referred to as Melissa in one, The Scarlet Pumpernickel, where she is voiced by Bea Benaderet.

Nonetheless it appeared in the 1944 Warner Bros. cartoon Tom Turk and Daffy, uttered by a Thanksgiving turkey whose presence is betrayed to Porky Pig by Daffy Duck.

* April 17 – The animated short Porky's Duck Hunt, directed by Tex Avery for the Looney Tunes series, featuring the debut of Daffy Duck, is released.

" Chico's own piano composition " I'm Daffy Over You " would be played again in their next feature film, Monkey Business, by Harpo on the harp.

This was followed by the debuts of other memorable Looney Tunes stars such as Daffy Duck ( in 1937 ) and the most famous of the Looney Tunes cast, Bugs Bunny ( in 1940 ).

In the majority of these appearances, the selfish, neurotic, and spotlight-hungry Daffy characterized by Chuck Jones is the common version.

It was destroyed by a car wash incident, and Daffy sought to replace it with a yacht by tricking Porky into giving him the expensive loan, but his less-than-stellar boating skills ended that ambition.

* In 1950, Mel Blanc recorded " Daffy Duck's Rhapsody ", a comic song written by Warren Foster, Billy May, and Michael Maltese.

In 1937, Avery pitted Porky against a plucky black duck who soon was christened Daffy and who became the studio's biggest star ( until he himself was replaced by Bugs Bunny ).

In a cheap hostel on Khao San Road in Bangkok, Richard, a young English traveller, meets a strange Scotsman going by the pseudonym of Daffy Duck who leaves him a hand-drawn map of a supposed hidden beach located in the Gulf of Thailand that is inaccessible to tourists.
