She grew up in Woodstock, New York where she perfected her skills by playing with bluegrass musician John Herald, blues musician Paul Butterfield, and Levon Helm and Rick Danko of The Band.

Rick Danko and Richard Manuel also shared writing credits with Dylan on a few songs.

Les Podervianskyi's Danko is a rather strange and pathetic fellow, he is also leading a mob of people somewhere but he does not know the way and as he is afraid that people would be angry with his poor directions he burns his heart first, then his liver and finally his kidneys.

Four tracks from a concert in Los Angeles are included on the album, two pulled from Rick Danko, one a cover of The Band's " Unfaithful Servant " ( originally from The Band ), and the Sun Records classic " Mystery Train " ( also covered by The Band on Moondog Matinee ).

However, The Band continued to tour and record albums until the death of Rick Danko in 1999, when the group broke up for good.

Singers Manuel, Danko, and Helm each brought a distinctive voice to The Band: Helm's southern voice had more than a hint of country, Danko sang in a tenor, and Manuel alternated between falsetto and baritone.

Though the singing was more or less evenly shared among the three men, both Danko and Helm have stated that they saw Manuel as the Band's " lead " singer.

Danko concurred with Helm :: " I think Levon's book hits the nail on the head about where Robbie and Albert Grossman and some of those people went wrong and when The Band stopped being The Band.

The members of The Band gradually came together as a part of Toronto-based, rockabilly singer Ronnie Hawkins's backing group, the Hawks: Helm, an original Hawk who journeyed with Hawkins from Arkansas to Ontario, then Robertson who was told by Hawkin's ," You won't make much money but you'll get more pussy than Frank Sinatra ", Danko, Manuel and finally, Hudson.

Hawkins's act was popular in and around Toronto and he had an effective way of eliminating his musical competition: When a promising band appeared, Hawkins would often hire their best musicians for his own group ; Robertson, Danko, and Manuel came under Hawkins ' tutelage this way.

Dylan was backed by drummer Bobby Gregg, bassist Rick Danko ( or Bill Lee ), guitarist Robbie Robertson, pianist Paul Griffin, and Al Kooper on organ.

In the concert documentary film, released in 2003, Danko can be seen intoxicated participating in a drunken jam session with Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir and Joplin while singing " Ain't No More Cane.

The Band was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the 1989 Juno Awards, where Robertson was reunited with original members Danko and Hudson.

Later that year Robertson appeared with Danko and Hudson as The Band for the second time since the original group broke up.

On December 10, 1999, Rick Danko died in his sleep at the age of 56.

In 1977, Rick Danko released his eponymous debut solo album, which featured the other four members of The Band on various tracks.

In 1984, Danko joined members of the Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers and others in the huge touring company that made up " The Byrds Twenty-Year Celebration.

Rick Danko and Robbie Robertson are namechecked in the lyrics of " The Swish " from The Hold Steady's 2004 debut album Almost Killed Me.

Also that year, southern rock-revivalists Drive-By Truckers released the track " Danko / Manuel " on the album The Dirty South.

In 1949, Moe Abramson and Stanislaus F. Danko of the United States Army Signal Corps developed the Auto-Sembly process in which component leads were inserted into a copper foil interconnection pattern and dip soldered.

It had also become a stop on the Butterfield Overland Mail route through Texas.

In 1969, Butterfield also took part in a concert at Chicago's Auditorium Theater and a subsequent recording session organized by record producer Norman Dayron, featuring Muddy Waters and backed by pianist Otis Spann, Michael Bloomfield, Sam Lay, Donald " Duck " Dunn, and Buddy Miles, which was recorded and portions released on Fathers And Sons on Chess Records.

The director also hired Alexander Butterfield, a key figure in the Watergate scandal who handled the flow of paper to the President, as a consultant to make sure that the Oval Office was realistically depicted, former deputy White House counsel John Sears, and John Dean, who made sure that every aspect of the script was accurate and wrote a few uncredited scenes for the film.

Butterfield also appears in a few scenes as a White House staffer.

Butterfield implies from the appearance of the fossils that the organisms may have lacked a cuticle: whilst this is also true of the nemerteans, these organisms lack a coelom and are thus unlikely to fossilise.

According to a former student, Stephen Butterfield, " Trungpa told us that if we ever tried to leave the Vajrayana, we would suffer unbearable, subtle, continuous anguish, and disasters would pursue us like furies " Other Vajrayana teachers, as well, also warn their students about the dangers of the esoteric path.

An entire tool-and-die factory, once operated by the Butterfield division of Litton Industries, is also divided in two by the border.
