Dub Syndicate initially evolved out of Creation Rebel and had a classic dub sound until the third album, Tunes From The Missing Channel ( 1985 ), where Dub Syndicate gave birth to a highly experimental more technological dub sound.

Dub Syndicate has collaborated with many other artists including Lee " Scratch " Perry, Bim Sherman ( vocals ), Deadly Headley ( saxophone ) and Dr. Pablo ( melodica ), ( N. B.

Recently Dub Syndicate content has been released on Style Scott's own Lion & Roots record label and production duties have been split between Adrian Sherwood, Scientist, and Style Scott himself.

More recently Dub Syndicate has worked with Dancehall artists such as Luciano, Capleton, and Jr. Reid.

Despite not recording any new material as Tackhead since, group members continued to record as the backing band or along with various Sherwood-led On-U Sound productions artists such as Gary Clail's solo efforts, African Head Charge, Dub Syndicate, New Age Steppers and others.

A dub version of the album, Living Dub ( 1979 ), was mixed by Sylvan Morris.

A Sylvan Morris dub version followed in the form of Living Dub Volume Two.

Coxsone Dodd had already released two dub cuts, " Talking Dub " and " Lusaka ", plus a 1980 cut by Jennifer Lara, " Hurt So Good ", while Sly and Robbie's " Johnny Dollar " by Roland Burrell was also voiced by Yellowman as " Soldier Take Over ".

Chin produced the Java Java Dub album in 1973, which he claims was the first ever dub album.

Other dub performers include Serbian dub band Black Ark Crew, Basque dub band Basque Dub Foundation, and Australian live dub outfit The Sunshine Brothers.

Capdown released their Civil Disobedients album, featuring the track Dub # 1, while Sonic Boom Six and The King Blues take heavy influences from dub, mixing the genre with original punk ethics and attitudes.

Featuring The Revolutionaries, an influential session group, Chill Out, together with its dub companion The Dub Factor, is widely considered a classic of reggae music.

Culture also released records on other labels in Jamaica, including a dub version of Harder than the Rest ( Culture in Dub ( 1978, High Note )) and an album of different mixes of the same album ( Africa Stand Alone ( 1978, April )).

Formed in 1992 in Christchurch NZ, Salmonella Dub have rightfully been called the pioneers and originators of a unique Pacific style of dub / drum ‘ n ’ bass / reggae / hip hop and groove-based rock.

The Long Beach Dub Allstars were a dub reggae / ska / rock band formed in 1997 and disbanded in 2002.
