In 1952, Indira helped Feroze manage his campaign for elections to the first Parliament of India from Rae Bareli.

Feroze and December
He was placed on the Mughal throne in December 1759 by Ghazi ud-Din Khan Feroze Jung III but subsequently deposed by the Afghan confederation ( Rohillas and Ahmad Shah Abdali ) and Nawab of Oudh Shuja-ud-Daula in 1760 in recognition of Shah Alam II as the rightful heir to the throne who was in exile at Allahabad.

In the early 1920s, after the death of his father, Feroze and his mother moved to Allahabad to live with his unmarried maternal aunt, Shirin Commissariat, a surgeon at the city's Lady Dufferin Hospital.
