Four small realms pledged allegiance to Charlemagne at the start of the 9th century ( not for long ): Pamplona ( to become Navarre ) and the counties of Aragon, Sobrarbe and Ribagorza.

Four separate Saxon realms emerged:

* " Four Worlds " Judaism ( integrating the Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, and Spiritual realms )

Though not believing in a creator God, Buddhists inherited the Indian cosmology of the time which includes various types of ' god ' realms such as the Heaven of the Thirty-Three, the Four Great Kings, and so on.

Near the end of Mao's life, a power struggle occurred between the Gang of Four and the alliance of Deng Xiaoping, Zhou Enlai, and Ye Jianying.

In Holland, the Dutch Republic ’ s 17th-century ( 1609 – 1672 ) mercantilist dominion was a first instance of global, commercial hegemony, made feasible with its technological development of wind power and its Four Great Fleets, for the efficient production and delivery of goods and services, which, in turn, made possible its Amsterdam stock market and concomitant dominance of world trade ; in France, King Louis XIV ( 1638 – 1715 ) and ( Emperor ) Napoleon I ( 1799 – 1815 ) established French hegemony via economic, cultural, and military domination of most of Continental Europe.

Four centuries of non-indigenous rule can be viewed through several changing periods of governing power and shifting official policy toward aborigines.

After encountering elemental aspects ( the Fantastic Four ), and a guardian of a sacred garden ( Swarm ), he realizes the greatest power is friendship.

In 6 October 1976, Hua brought the Cultural Revolution to an end and ousted the Gang of Four from political power by staging their arrests in Beijing.

During his relatively short leadership, Hua was credited for quickly ousting the Gang of Four from political power and thus became the leader whose emergence marked the end of the Cultural Revolution.

New Wave writers began to look outside the traditional scope of science fiction for influence, and many looked to the example of beat writer William S. Burroughs, to the point where New Wave authors Philip José Farmer and Barrington J. Bayley wrote pastiches of his work (" The Jungle Rot Kid on the Nod " and " The Four Colour Problem ", respectively ) and J. G. Ballard published an admiring essay in an issue of New Worlds.

The Gang of Four resented the influence held by Zhou, and identified him as their main political threat in post-Mao era succession.

The Herodians sided with the Flavians during the conflict, and later in 69, the Year of the Four Emperors — when the Roman Empire saw the quick succession of the emperors Galba, Otho and Vitellius — Berenice reportedly used all her wealth and influence to support Vespasian on his campaign to become emperor.
