It was named for Francis Nash, the American Revolutionary War hero.

Nash was descended from the brother of General Francis Nash, who gave his name to Nashville, Tennessee.

Mark Rothko took an interest in biomorphic figures, and in England Henry Moore, Lucian Freud, Francis Bacon and Paul Nash used or experimented with Surrealist techniques.

It was named for American Revolutionary War Brigadier General Francis Nash, who had been mortally wounded at the Battle of Germantown that year.

Thomas Francis Nash owned building companies which from the 1920s onward built numerous private housing estates in Kenton, Ruislip and other parts of the " Metroland " area of Middlesex.

Like Nashville, Tennessee, the town and its county were named for Francis Nash, an officer of the North Carolina militia who died in the American Revolutionary War.

He is unwillingly dragged into a US army special operation by Francis Nash.
