GameSpot noted that Majora's Mask suffered from a frame rate which appeared choppier and inconsistencies in the audio.

The abrupt ending of the game received criticism from GameSpot, Just Adventure and Computer Gaming World ; the last of which called the ending " the game's only real disappointment ".

Although the addition of Goro and Shao Kahn was praised, GameSpot noted that the other ports were better, while also commenting on Goro's appearance which looks " anemic ".

Writing for GameSpot, Doug Radcliffe argued that Decay was " impressive ", praising the design of puzzles required players to work together, as well as the way in which the ranking system discouraged players from competing against each other.

While Greg Kasavin of GameSpot felt that though the visuals were on par with previous games, End of Ages was missing several elements which made Myst IV more immersive ; only important, story-driving items could be interacted with, for example, and the player makes no sounds or footsteps in the game.

Alex Navarro of GameSpot gave the game a score of 8. 3 and wrote " while ( the game ) may prove to be a bit too fleeting for anyone seeking a long-lasting gameplay experience and the additional gameplay modes are a bit too restrictive in the design for what they're supposed to be, the game is still great fun and is definitely worth playing through long after you've beaten it the first time " Justin Leeper of Game Informer, who gave the game an overall score of 9, wrote " It ’ s still no 30-hour marathon, but Atlus has added a whole lot to an already-excellent beat ‘ em up ".

GameSpot gave Titans an 8. 3 out of 10, and commented " There's plenty more depth to be found here since having a brand-new civilization with three new primary gods creates many more ... new strategies.

Bruce Geryk of GameSpot gave the game a rating of 8. 8 out 10.

Jeff Gerstmann from GameSpot gave it a 9. 1 and praised the game for its portability, being able to play it in " short bursts " and being able to return to it again and again.

It received poor reviews from publications such as GameSpot whose editor Jeff Gerstmann gave it a 3. 5 out of 10 due to how different the game is from the other ports and how unresponsive the controls are.

IGN gave the game a rating of 9. 2 / 10 while GameSpot described the PC version as " one of the best games of the year ".

GameSpot included Tresspasser as one of nominees for the title of the Most Disappointing Game of the Year (" losing " to Star Wars Rebellion ) and gave it the dubious award of the Worst Game of the Year ( PC ), commenting: " Of all the games released this year, none was as ill-received and terrible as Trespasser.

GameSpot gave it an 8. 8, calling it " a really great game, perhaps the best James Bond game ever made ".
