Her sister Hedwig of Andechs married Henry I, duke of Silesia and was canonized as Saint Hedwig in 1267.

Matilda bore him three sons, one called Otto, and two daughters, Hedwig and Gerberga and founded many religious institutions, including the abbey of Quedlinburg where Henry is buried, and was later canonized.

At the age of twelve, Hedwig married Henry I the Bearded, son and heir of the Piast duke Bolesław I the Tall of Silesia.

Hedwig and Henry had lived very pious lives, and Hedwig had great zeal for religion.

Hedwig and Henry I had seven children:

A legion of Swabians were commanded by Burchard III, Duke of Swabia, who had married Hedwig, the daughter of Henry, the brother of Otto.

Henry was a son of the Polish High Duke Henry I the Bearded, Duke of Silesia-Wrocław, by his wife ( and later Saint ) Hedwig of Andechs, daughter of Duke Berthold IV of Merania.

In 1294, Henry III, Duke of Głogów, founded a church in honor of Saint Hedwig, patron saint of Silesia.

In 1202 Władysław's grandson Duke Henry I the Bearded of Silesia and his wife Hedwig of Andechs founded a Cistercian convent, present-day Sanctuary of St. Jadwiga in Trzebnica, the first in Poland.

Henry erected a stone castle at Krosno, where he died in 1238 and where his widow, Hedwig of Andechs, took refuge during the 1241 Mongol invasion of Europe.

# John Georg Henry von Berenhorst ( Sandersleben, 26 October 1733 – Dessau, 30 October 1814 ), who married first in Zöberitz on 8 May 1781 to Katharina Christiane Maria Otto, but divorced in 1783 ; in Köthen on 26 October 1783 he married for a second time to Henriette Christine Karoline von Bülow ( Predel, 30 June 1765 – Dessau, 29 August 1813 ), with whom he had six children, one son, George John ( whose descendants in the male line became extinct in 1952 ), and five daughters: Louise Sophie, Eugenie Johanne ( d. in infancy ), Wilhelmine Henriette, Klara Hedwig, and Thekla Pauline, who, from her first marriage to Julius, Freiherr von Richthofen, was a great-grandmother of Manfred von Richthofen.

Her younger sister was St. Hedwig of Silesia, wife of the Piast duke Henry I the Bearded, the later High Duke of Poland.

When she was three years old, Agnes was entrusted to the care of another aunt, St. Hedwig of Andechs, the wife of Duke Henry I the Bearded of Silesia.

Bolesław had married in 1242 Hedwig of Anhalt, daughter of Count Henry I and niece of the Landgraves of Thuringia, and now he decided to use this family connection to find allies in his fight against his brother.

Around 8 May 1242, Bolesław married firstly Hedwig ( d. 21 December 1259 ), daughter of Henry I, Count of Anhalt.

A 17th-century legend has it that Hedwig, while on a pilgrimage to Rome, stopped at Bad Zell in Austria, where she had healing waters spring up at a source which today still bears her name.

Seyss-Inquart had five older siblings: Hedwig ( born 1881 ), Richard ( born 3 April 1883, became a Catholic priest, but left the Church and ministry, married in civil ceremony and became Oberregierungsrat and prison superior by 1940 in the Ostmark ), Irene ( born 1885 ), Henriette ( born 1887 ) and Robert ( born 1891 ).

By his wife, Marie Friederike Franziska Hedwig, daughter of Prince William of Prussia, whom he married in 1842, he had two sons, Ludwig II of Bavaria and Otto of Bavaria, both of whom became king, were declared insane, and deposed.

She was shocked and intrigued by the sexually liberal Swedish court and wrote home to her family that " everyone had a lover " and about the bisexual rumours about the royal Duchess Hedwig Elizabeth Charlotte of Holstein-Gottorp ; she wrote to her mother, that the Duchess was said to have both male and female lovers and that she herself was probably the only woman of note who did not have three or four lovers.

He had been rejected as a husband by her cousin, Hedwig of Poland.

In 1934 he divorced his wife, Hedl ( Hedwig ) Rocco, to whom he had been married since 1917, and left the two children, Ruth and Wolfgang, with her.

Hubley is survived by his daughters Georgia Hubley, who plays drums and sings for the rock band, Yo La Tengo as well as Emily Hubley, a filmmaker and animator, who has made numerous short films, including animated inserts and segments for documentaries such as Blue Vinyl and the film version of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and a feature called The Toe Tactic ( www. thetoetactic. com ) which combines live action and animation.
