Gilbert was born in Zanesville, Ohio, the middle of three sons, and was named after the statesman Lewis Cass, to whom he was distantly related.

David O. Selznick dearly wanted to film David Copperfield, as his Russian father Lewis J. Selznick had learned the English language through it, and read it to his sons every night.

One example is the shooting of former Presiding Justice Lewis F. Wright and four of his sons in 1864, after being taken from their homes for " questioning.

Her mother went on to have two sons, Christopher Paul and Peter Charles, with Lewis.

She was also the half-sister of John Clark Gable ( Clark Gable's son with his fifth wife Kay Williams ), Christopher Lewis and Peter Lewis ( Loretta's biological sons ).

He was married to the former Hylda Tafler for 53 years, until her death in June 2005 ; they had two sons, John by a previous relationship of Hylda and Stephen who was fathered by Lewis.

Born at Mostyn Quay, Flintshire, Lewis was one of five sons of Enoch Lewis and Elizabeth Roberts.

Anthemius of Tralles ( c. 474 – before 558 ; ) was a Greek professor of Geometry in Constantinople ( present-day Istanbul in Turkey ) and architect, who collaborated with Isidore of Miletus to build the church of Hagia Sophia by the order of Justinian I. Anthemius came from an educated family, one of five sons of Stephanus of Tralles, a physician.

His sons were: Mustafa IV ( 1807 – 08 ) ( his son by Ayşe Seniyeperver ), Mahmud II ( 1808 – 39 ) ( his son by Naksh-i-Dil Haseki ), Murad, Nusret, Mehmed, Ahmed, and Süleyman.

Parkinson and his wife divorced in 1952 and he married the writer and journalist Ann Fry ( 1921 – 1983 ), with whom he had two sons and a daughter.

When he died without sons in 1898 the viscounty became extinct, but the barony descended to his brother Debonnaire John ( 1830 – 1900 ), whose son Augustus Debonnaire John ( b. 1868 ) became 9th Baron Monson in 1900.

On his death in 1868 the barony of 1830 became extinct as he had no sons while he was succeeded in the barony of 1860 according to the special remainder by his brother William, the second Baron.

On the extinction of the Bourbon-Condé family, her descendants, in 1830, the heirs were the House of Orléans, descendants of Anne's granddaughter's Louise Élisabeth de Bourbon's daughter Louise Henriette de Bourbon, the Duchess of Orleans, and the title of Duke of Guise was used as a courtesy title for members of this family in the nineteenth century, firstly for three sons of Prince Henri, Duke of Aumale, and then for Jean, son of Robert d ' Orléans, Duke of Chartres.

In June 1829, Peter's sons and his son-in-law, Hiram Page, became witnesses to the Golden Plates and when the early Latter-day Saint church was organized on April 6, 1830, the Whitmers were among the first members.

An outstanding commission came in 1830 from the sons of the Russian prince Nicola Demidoff, who had retired to Florence, to sculpt a monument, which is still to be seen in Piazza Demidoff, Florence.
