Attlee was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of Queen Mary College on 15 December 1948.

He was also a visiting professor at the Oxford University Computing Laboratory in the United Kingdom and an Honorary Fellow of Magdalen College.

In 1989 he became an Honorary Fellow of that College.

In the same year, he was elected as an Honorary Fellow of Trinity College, University of Cambridge.

Crick later became a PhD student and Honorary Fellow of Gonville and Caius College and mainly worked at the Cavendish Laboratory and the Medical Research Council ( MRC ) Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge.

He was also an Honorary Fellow of Churchill College and of University College, London.
