Following his expulsion from Egypt over his support for the Ismaili Imam Nizar b. Mustansir, Hasan-i Sabbah found that his co-religionists, the Ismailis, were scattered throughout Iran, with a strong presence in the northern and eastern regions, particularly in Daylaman, Khorasan and Quhistan.

According the Ismaili version of the events, in the year following the death of the Imam-Caliph al-Mustansir, a qadi ( judge ) by the name of Sa ’ idi travelled from Egypt to Alamut, taking with him Imam Nizar ’ s grandson, who was known as al-Hadi.

It was the 15th Fatimid / Ismaili / Dawoodi Bohra Imam Abu Mansoor Nizar al-Aziz Billah ( d. 386 AH / 996 ) who traced the site of the head of his great-grandfather through the office of his contemporary in Baghdad, in 985.

Afdal explained to the public that the deceased Imam and Caliph, al-Mustansir billah, on his deathbed changed his nomination in favour of his younger son al-Mustali and cancelled his earlier nomination of his eldest son Nizar.

Ismailis loyal to Nizar, argued that the first nomination had never been cancelled and that it contradicted the basic principle of the Ismailis, and for the same principle they had not accepted the second nomination of Imam Ja ’ far al-Sadiq, Musa al-Kazim, and had remained faithful to his first nomination in favour of Ismail.

Most Ismailis living within the countries under direct rule of the Fatimids accepted the Imamate of al-Mustali but those who supported Nizar as their Imam were forced to accept the Imamat of al-Mustali, who was duly installed as the 9th Fatimid Caliph in Cairo.

Imam Nizar was arrested, brought to Cairo and imprisoned till his death.

It is also said by later sources that the Ismaili Imam-Caliph al-Mustanṣir informed Hassan that his elder son Nizar would be the next Imam.

It appears that the affiliation between the Nimatullahis and the Nizari Imams can be traced at least as far back as the 18th century to the 40th Nizari Imam, Shah Nizar, who had close connections with the order.

In 2002, Rabbi Melchior initiated-together with his Palestinian counterpart Sheikh Talal Sider-an inter-religious summit in Alexandria, Egypt, co-sponsored by the Mufti of Egypt, Grand Imam of al-Azhar Mosque and Grand Sheikh of al-Azhar University-Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi, Archbishop of Canterbury-George Carey, and Rabbi Eliyahu Bakshi-Doron-Israel ’ s Chief Rabbi.

Nawaf al-Hazmi and Hani Hanjour, attended the Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church, Virginia in early April 2001 where radical Imam Anwar al-Awlaki preached.

To the right of the mihrab is the richly decorated minber, or pulpit, where the Imam stands when he is delivering his sermon at the time of noon prayer on Fridays or on holy days.

That is the place where the assistant of the Imam, the muezzin, stands during prayer.

He also prepared a wooden minbar ( pulpit ) and placed it in the mosque, where Raas al Imam al Husayn was buried.

He was laid to rest underneath the same dome in Jannatul Baqee where Imam Hasan ibn Ali and Imam Zayn al-Abidin were buried.

Once again, he found this young man who said he was Muhammad son of Imam Ali Ridha ( as ) who remained where he was left.

Imam al-Hadi, being short of money himself, gave the man a note saying that he was in debt to the nomad, and instructed him to meet the Imam in Samarra, where he had a meeting, and to insist that the Imam pay back the debt.

The Zikris perform the standard Islamic hajj but they also make pilgrimage ( ziyarat ) to the mountain where Imam Mehdi stayed, called Koh-e-Murad ( Mountain of Desire ), in Balochi language ).

In his adulthood-specifically in its infancy-when he was an associate for his father impartial judge learned him everythings about Islamic law while he was studying in the Aviation College to become a pilot, but did not complete that studies and continoued working with his father as a judge in court of Dhamar in the reign of Imam Ahmed Yahya Hamid al-Din where has raised a lot of controversy wonders and attention to his smart skills at the same time.

According to the 1866 Khoja Case ( also known as the " Aga Khan Case "), presided over by Justice Sir Joseph Arnould in the High Court of Bombay, and where the Aga Khan III ( grandfather of Aga Khan IV and the 48th Imam ) served as defendant, the Imam was described as "... an incarnation of God ..." to his community of followers.

In the " Imam Rapito affair " in Italy, Hassan Mustafa Osama Nasr ( aka Abu Omar ), an Islamist cleric, was kidnapped in a joint CIA – SISMI operation in Milan on 17 February 2003, transferred to the Aviano Air Base, and then flown to Egypt, where he was held until 11 February 2007, when an Egyptian court ruled his imprisonment was " unfounded.

He writes in his Dalá ' il-i-Sab ' ih ( Seven Proofs ) about a hadith from Muhammad al-Baqir ( the fifth Shia Imam ) where it is stated that the first seven sets of Muqatta ' at have a numerical value of 1267, from which the year 1844 AD ( the year of the Báb's declaration ) can be derived.

In the mid 1970s, Clyde X moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he worked with Cleveland's Muslim community using the name Imam Clyde Rahaman.

From this point of view, if the author of the Sahifat al-kamila was not Imam Zayn al -' Abidin, he-or they-would in any case have to have been a spiritual authority of equal rank, so the whole exercise leaves us where we started: with a text which expresses the highest aspirations of the Muslim soul.

It is also where Imam Zadeh Saleh is, and where the former home of Imam Khomeini was located.

Omari came from Asir Province, a poor region in southwestern Saudi Arabia that borders Yemen, and graduated with honours from high school, attained a degree from the Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, was married, and had a daughter.

The madh ' hab he observed was Imam Al-Shafi ‘ i, with similar customs as he had seen in coastal India especially among the Mappila Muslim, who were also the followers of Imam Al-Shafi ‘ i. Ibn Battuta then sailed to Malacca, Vietnam, the Philippines and finally Quanzhou in Fujian province, China.

Imam Azzan understood that to unify the country a strong, central authority had to be established with control over the interior tribes of Oman.

In 940 AD, the fourth of the representatives claimed that the Hidden Imam had gone into an indefinite " Grand Occultation ", and that he would cease to communicate with the people.

In Bábí belief the Báb is the return of the Imam Mahdi, but the doctrine of the Occultation is implicitly denied ; instead the Báb stated that his manifestation was a symbolic return of the Imam, and not the physical reappearance of the Imam Mahdi who had died a thousand years earlier.

Popular du ' as would include Jazuli's Dala ' il al-Khayrat, which at its peak spread throughout the Muslim world, and Imam al-Shadhili's Hizb al-Bahr which also had widespread appeal.

By the time of Imam ' Ala al-Din Muhammad ’ s murder in 1255, the Mongols had already attacked a number of the Ismaili strongholds in Quhistan.

Meanwhile, Imam ‘ Ala al-Din Mohammad, who had been murdered, was succeeded by his son Rukn al-Din in 1255 AD.

Many of the other fortresses had already complied, therefore not only would Muqaddam ’ s resistance have resulted in a direct battle for the castle, but the explicit violation of the instructions of the Imam, which would impact significantly on the Ismaili commander ’ s oath of total obedience to the Imam.

In his description of this, Juwayni concludes that the Imam ’ s murder cleansed “ the world which had been polluted by their evil ”.

Although he was raised in Europe by his French mother, his father, who was the 48th hereditary Imam of the Nizari Ismaili Muslims, had a strong influence on him.

On the other hand, Khoeyniha knew that if Khomeini first saw that the occupiers were his faithful supporters ( unlike the leftists in the first occupation ) and that large numbers of pious Muslims had gathered outside the embassy to show their support for the takeover, it would be " very hard, perhaps even impossible ", for the Imam Khomeini to oppose the takeover, and this would paralyze the Bazargan administration Khoeyniha and the students wanted to eliminate.

But later that evening, back in Tehran, the minister heard on the radio that Imam Khomeini had issued a statement supporting the seizure and calling it " the second revolution ", and the embassy an " American spy den in Tehran ".

He had a particular veneration for Imam Hussein.

In 1601, he made a pilgrimage on foot from Isfahan to Mashhad, site of the shrine of Imam Reza, which he restored ( it had been despoiled by the Uzbeks ).

After a debate Al-Ma ' mun had set up with the greatest scholars of the world's religions to humiliate the Imam, the victorious Imam informed Al-Ma ' mun that his grand vizier, Fazl ibn Sahl, had not been informing him of everything.
