Zāhir ud-Dīn Mohammad Bābur, who founded the Mughal dynasty of South Asia kept a journal Bāburnāma ( Chagatai /; literally: " Book of Babur " or " Letters of Babur ") which was written between 1493 and 1529.

His most famous publication was the Nuremberg Chronicle, published in 1493 in German and Latin editions.

From 1493 to 1500 Andrea worked in Portugal for the king, and some pieces of sculpture by him still exist in the monastic church of Coimbra.
