Later that year, Bolesław I's son Mieszko was sent to plunder Meissen.

One year later ( 1033 ), after Otto was killed and Dytryk expelled from the country, Mieszko II finally reunited all Poland under his domain.

However, his sole rule lasted only one year: between 10 / 11 July 1034, Mieszko II died suddenly, probably killed as consequence of a conspiracy.

Nothing is known about the fate of her sons, but in 1032 her grandson Dietrich or Dytryk ( son of either Mieszko or Lambert ) returned to Poland and obtain parts of the country after the fall of Mieszko II Lambert ; however, one year later he was expelled by Mieszko II, who could reunited again Poland in his hands.

Therefore that same year Władysław I was forced to recall from Hungarian banishment the only son of Bolesław II the Bold and a rightful heir to the Polish throne, Mieszko Bolesławowic.

He died the same year and was followed by his son, Mieszko II.

Frederick inherited it all nevertheless, but died a year later and it went to his son by Wierzchoslawa Ludmilla ( 1150 – 1223 ), daughter of Mieszko III the Old, duke of Greater Poland and high duke of all Poland, and Elisabeth, daughter of Prince Álmos.

One year later ( 13 September 1195 ), the death of his only surviving brother Bolesław in the bloody Battle of Mozgawą left Władysław as the sole heir of Mieszko III.

The territory they lived on became part of the Great Moravia in 875 and later, in 990, first Polish state created by duke Mieszko I and then expanded by king Boleslaw I at the beginning of the 11th century, who in the year 1000 established the Bishopric of Wrocław.

In this mission Ealdred was somewhat successful and obtained insight into the working of the German church during a stay of a year with Hermann II, the Archbishop of Cologne.
