* The Orient Express plays host to an adventure game by Jordan Mechner: The Last Express is a murder mystery game set around the last ride of the Orient Express before it suspended operations at the start of World War I. Robert Cath, an American doctor wanted by French police as he is suspected of the murder of an Irish police officer, and becomes involved in a maelstrom of treachery, lies, political conspiracies, personal interests, romance and murder.

One of his granddaughters was Tomi Pierce ( 1953-2010 ), a writer and later producer of video games including Prince of Persia and The Last Express ( admired for its story-telling ), with Jordan Mechner ; she also worked with her husband Doug Carlston, founder of Brøderbund.

It was released on November 21, 2003 and is a reboot of the landmark video game series Prince of Persia, created by Jordan Mechner in 1989.
