Albert married first, to Princess Dorothea ( 1 August 1504-11 April 1547 ), daughter of King Frederick I of Denmark, in 1526.

Anton succeeded his brother Frederick August I as King of Saxony when he died, on 5 May 1827.

Without surviving male issue, Anton was succeeded as King by his nephew, Frederick Augustus II.

Albert ( full name: Frederick Augustus Albert Anton Ferdinand Joseph Karl Maria Baptist Nepomuk Wilhelm Xaver Georg Fidelis ) ( Dresden, 23 April 1828 – Schloss Sibyllenort ( Szczodre ), 19 June 1902 ) was a King of Saxony and a member of the House of Wettin.

He was the eldest son of Prince John, ( who succeeded his brother Frederick Augustus II on the Saxon throne as King John in 1854 ) by his wife Amalie Auguste of Bavaria.

Frederick the Peaceful KG ( September 21, 1415 – August 19, 1493 ) was Duke of Austria as Frederick V from 1424, the successor of Albert II as German King as Frederick IV from 1440, and Holy Roman Emperor as Frederick III from 1452.

In 1440 he was elected German king as Frederick IV and in 1452 crowned Holy Roman Emperor as Frederick III by Pope Nicholas V. In 1452, at the age of 37, he married the 18-year-old Infanta Eleanor, daughter of King Edward of Portugal, whose dowry helped him to alleviate his debts and cement his power.

This work attracted considerable attention, and in January 1810, at the age of 25, Bessel was appointed director of the Königsberg Observatory by King Frederick William III of Prussia.

Frederick William I () ( 14 August 1688 – 31 May 1740 ) was the King in Prussia and Elector of Brandenburg ( as Frederick William II ) from 1713 until his death.

Frederick William married his first cousin Sophia Dorothea of Hanover, George II's younger sister ( daughter of his uncle, King George I of Great Britain and Sophia Dorothea of Celle ) on 28 November 1706.

Frederick Augustus II ( full name: Frederick Augustus Albert Maria Clemens Joseph Vincenz Aloys Nepomuk Johann Baptista Nikolaus Raphael Peter Xavier Franz de Paula Venantius Felix ) ( Dresden, 18 May 1797 – Brennbüchel, Karrösten, Tyrol, 9 August 1854 ) was King of Saxony and a member of the House of Wettin.

Another marriage alliance attempted to resolve the potential conflict with Serbia in Macedonia, as Andronikos II married off his five-year old daughter Simonis to King Stefan Milutin in 1298.

Although details are unclear, there is evidence that in 1577 Oxford attempted to leave England to see service in the French Wars of Religion on the side of King Henry III.
