The role and legitimacy of coincidence has frequently been the topic of heated arguments ever since Ronald A. Knox categorically stated that " no accident must ever help the detective " ( Commandment No. 6 in his " Decalogue ").

* December 5 – American Revolution: Henry Knox begins his journey to Cambridge, Massachusetts with the artillery that has been captured from Fort Ticonderoga.

Described by many today as one of America's more " historical cities ", Wilkes-Barre has gained considerable bad press ( although it is not a major nationally recognized location ) since the Knox Mine Disaster.

He played cards on a weekly basis with Henry Clay Frick, Philander Knox, Andrew and Richard Mellon, and George Westinghouse.

Crennel played baseball and football at Fort Knox ( Ky .) High School and Central ( Va .) High School before committing to college football at Western Kentucky.
