Russell Thompkins Jr., James Smith, and Airron Love came from the Monarchs, and James Dunn and Herbie Murrell came from the Percussions.

Love, Murrell, and Thompkins continued to tour until 2000, when original lead Russell Thompkins, Jr. left.
