Lowery and Hickman
Cracker is an American alternative rock band led by its founders and songwriters, singer David Lowery and guitarist Johnny Hickman.
After moving from California to Richmond, Virginia, Lowery and Hickman recorded a demo tape, later nicknamed Big Dirty Yellow Demos by the group's fans, which included early versions of songs that appeared on later albums.
After a short spell with Bruce Hughes, Lowery and Hickman added Bob Rupe, formerly of The Silos, as bass guiatrist and Charlie Quintana ( Bob Dylan, The JuJu Hounds ) on drums.
( 2003 ), contained bluegrass versions of many Lowery and Hickman compositions.
In 2005, Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven started an annual three night " Campout " at Pappy and Harriet's Pioneertown Palace in Pioneertown, California, close to where Lowery and Hickman met, in which they and several other bands perform, including sets by Cracker and Camper band members performing their own music.
After the departures of Margolis and Krummenacher, the band's lineup stabilized in 2007 around Hickman, Lowery, Funaro and new bass guitarist Sal Maida, who had played with Roxy Music.
After disbanding, Lowery and Hickman formed Cracker with bassist Davey Faragher.

Lowery and formed
While on summer break in 1983, Lowery and Molla returned to Redlands and formed a new band, Camper Van Beethoven and the Border Patrol.
Rouleau formed the group Drive-By with Lowery, releasing the album Pony Down ( Prelude ) in 2005.
Together with an associate, Dennis " Boots " Woodall, Lowery formed Lowery Music Company and was involved in independent record production and promotion.
In 1958, Lowery formed National Recording Corporation in Atlanta.
Dark New Day is an American hard rock supergroup formed in 2004 featuring Brett Hestla of Virgos Merlot, Troy McLawhorn of DoubleDrive, Clint Lowery of Sevendust, Corey Lowery of Stereomud and Stuck Mojo, and Will Hunt of Skrape.

Molla left Camper Van Beethoven after touring for the third album, reducing the band to a five-piece with Lowery, Krummenacher, Segel, Lisher, and Pedersen — the longest-standing lineup in their initial career.
Lowery has been quoted in interviews as saying that, although the entire band ( save for Fichter ) played on the basic tracks, Greg Lisher was the only other member to have contributed significantly to the album's recording, with most of the overdubbing and studio polishing having been done by Lowery, Lisher and producer Dennis Herring.
With the band temporarily lacking a drummer, guitarist Chris Molla played many of the drum parts on ' II & III ', with singer / rhythm guitarist David Lowery playing some of the drum parts as well.

In December, guitarist Clint Lowery stated that the band were " searching for producers right now to collabrate with " after working on new material on and off since their debut release and were to begin recording in January, 2007.
In January 2007, it was announced that Hunt was to tour as part of Vince Neil's solo band in Australia in March / April while in February Clint Lowery was recruited as a touring guitarist for KoЯn.
In February 2009, Clint Lowery issued an update for the band since " there hasn't been an official statement given " in sometime by the group stating it was unlikely that the album would be given an official release but that he would find out if there was a chance of the album being made available on iTunes.
Lowery's next role saw him working with Randy Castillo, in the short-lived projects Bone Angel and Red Square Black who produced a self-titled EP, but the band disbanded when Lowery was picked from 2000 guitarists to play with k. d.
Lowery teamed up with ex-Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford, along with Sid Riggs ( drums ) James Wooley ( keyboards ), and Ray Riendeau ( bass ) to work on an industrial metal inspired album, under the band name of 2wo ( Two ).
During this time period Lowery also worked on a band called Plague, with Jason Lowetz as the frontman.
