As Blacky goes off into the bushes to relieve himself, taking the brass orchestra along, he leaves Natalija tied in ropes and instructs Marko to " take care of my bride ".

In Serbian epic poetry he is named Marko Kraljević, which is rendered as " Prince Marko " in English translations of the poetry ; kraljević means " king's son ".
