The original quartet version of the brothers was inspired by their father O ' Kelly Isley, Sr., a singer in a local gospel group, who had envisioned his sons being " the next Mills Brothers " having his four eldest sons, Kelly, Rudy, Ronnie and Vernon, sing together in church at early ages.
