Kautsky was recognized as among the most authoritative promulgators of Orthodox Marxism after the death of Friedrich Engels in 1895 until the coming of World War I in 1914 and was called by some the " Pope of Marxism.

Orthodox Marxists view the later attempt to combine Marxism and feminism as a liberal creation of academics and reformist leftists who want to make alliances with bourgeois feminists.

In the final stages, Capitalism, as a mode of production, achieves complete domination on a planetary basis and has nothing to overcome but itself, the final ( for it, Capitalism, viewed as a Hegelian process, not for historical development per se ) negating of the negation posited by Orthodox Marxism.

Roman Catholics recognize the validity of the apostolic successions of the bishops, and therefore the rest of the clergy, of the Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Church of the East, and the Old Catholic Church ( Union of Utrecht only ).

For Orthodox no further council would therefore be needed until such time as a major crises arose within the church.

In the 5th century, Oriental Orthodoxy separated from Chalcedonian Christianity ( and is therefore separate from both the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches ), well before the 11th century Great Schism.

As people are also made in God's images, people are also considered to be living icons, and are therefore " censed " along with painted icons during Orthodox prayer services.

Since the destruction of the Second Temple, and ( therefore ) the cessation of the daily and seasonal temple ceremonies and sacrifices, Kohanim in traditional Judaism ( Orthodox Judaism and to some extent, Conservative Judaism ) continue to perform a number of priestly ceremonies and roles such as the Pidyon HaBen ( redemption of a first-born son ) ceremony and the Priestly Blessing, and have remained subject, particularly in Orthodox Judaism, to a number of restrictions, such as restrictions on certain marriages and ritual purity ( see Kohanic disqualifications ).

While this practice is considered binding for Ashkenazim in Orthodox Judaism, these items are not chametz and therefore are not subject to the same prohibitions and stringencies as chametz.

Jews who adhere to Orthodox or Conservative Rabbinism therefore believe that Jewish status by birth is passed by a Jewish female to her children ( if she herself is a Jew by birth or by conversion to Judaism ) regardless of the Jewish status of the father.

It is therefore very unlikely that Orthodox or Conservative Judaism would recognize the Lemba as ' Halakhically Jewish '.

For instance the Moscow Patriarchate has repeatedly strongly condemned what it describes as Catholic proselytism of Orthodox Christians within Russia and has therefore opposed a Catholic construction project in an area of Russia where the Catholic community is small.

Saint Nikolai Velimirovich of Ohrid and Žiča or Nikolaj Velimirović ( Serbian Cyrillic: Николај Велимировић ; – ) was bishop of Ohrid and of Žiča in the Serbian Orthodox Church, an influential theological writer and a highly gifted orator, therefore also known as The New Chrysostom.

The holiday has therefore a religious dimension, being celebrated with special services in Orthodox churches.

The Eastern Orthodox Church uses the Septuagint version of Esther, as it does for all of the Old Testament.

Eastern Orthodox Christianity does not officially condemn or endorse capital punishment.

Thus, though often de facto the case, Conservative Judaism's halakhic system does not inherently see Orthodox halakhic practice as acceptable and legitimate halakhic practice for a Conservative Jew.

In matters of marriage and divorce, the State of Israel relies on its Chief Rabbinate to determine who is Jewish ; the Chief Rabbinate, following Orthodox practice, does not recognize the validity of conversions performed by Conservative rabbis and will require a Jew who was converted by a Conservative rabbi to undergo a second, Orthodox conversion to be regarded as a Jew for marriage and other purposes.

In this respect they follow the same practices as does the Eastern Orthodox Church.

The two churches remain in full communion with each other and with the other Oriental Orthodox Churches, although the Coptic Orthodox Church does not recognize the deposition of the third Patriarch of Eritrea, Abune Antonios.

So does the Coptic Church, which, being part of Oriental Orthodoxy, is not in communion with the Eastern Orthodox Church and considers itself " the True Church of the Lord Jesus Christ ".

While the Russian Orthodox Church does recognize the first seven ecumenical councils as valid, some Russian Orthodox theologians believe that the infallibility of these councils ' statements derived from their acceptance by the faithful ( and thus from the infallibility of all believers ), and not from the acts of the councils themselves.

Nevertheless it does not have the same significance for Lutherans as it does for the Orthodox.

' Orthodox ' Judaism does not know any varieties of Judaism.

It does not know a Mosaic, prophetic and rabbinic Judaism, nor Orthodox and Liberal Judaism.

It does not know Orthodox and Liberal Jews.

Today, Pesach Sheni on the 14th of Iyar has the status of a very minor holiday ( so much so that many of the Jewish people have never even heard of it, and it essentially does not exist outside of Orthodox and traditional Conservative Judaism ).

Only with the emergence of Orthodox Christianity as reflected in the Apostle's Creed and the final decline of Hellenistic paganism by the 6th century does " Paganism " become a concept clearly distinct from Christianity.

Orthodox priests will either wear a clerical collar similar to the above mentioned, or simply a very loose black robe that does not have a collar.

Orthodox Judaism considers this usage inappropriate, as it does not consider synagogues a replacement for the Temple in Jerusalem ( there were local places of worship contemporaneous with the existence of the Temple, e. g. the one that can be seen at Masada ).
