Jones, Page and Bonham looked for a replacement for Plant, considering singers including Steven Tyler and Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge, but in January 2009 it was confirmed that the project had been abandoned.

Page and Bonham
On Valentine's Day 1974, Moon performed on drums with Jimmy Page, Ronnie Lane, Max Middleton and fellow drummer John Bonham on acoustic guitar for the gig premiering Roy Harper's album Valentine.
Robert Plant asked Page if he had a drummer, and Page said that he was still looking for one, and Robert brought him to see John Bonham in action.
Unable to tour, he headed to the Channel Island of Jersey to spend August and September recuperating, with Bonham and Page in tow.
It also featured a 1976 John Bonham drum instrumental with electronic effects added by Jimmy Page, called " Bonzo's Montreux ".
Plant would then add lyrics before Page and Bonham developed their parts.
