With the development of the Red Bridge Subdivision south of Kansas City, Missouri, the developer was faced with the problem of providing adequate sewage disposal.

The sewage system from Kansas City was not expected to serve the Red Bridge area for several years.

At the same time further expansion in the Red Bridge Subdivision required the construction of additional sewage treatment facilities.

Just over the Longfellow Bridge from Boston, at the eastern end of the MIT campus, it is served by the Kendall / MIT station on the MBTA Red Line subway.

Powell County is home to Natural Bridge State Park and the Red River Gorge Geologic Area, two of Kentucky's most important natural areas and ecotourism destinations, as well as Pilot Knob State Nature Preserve.

Two of the best known sections of the escarpment in Kentucky are the Red River Gorge Geological Area and the Natural Bridge State Park in the north-central portion of the Daniel Boone National Forest.

The old Index Bridge was built over the Red River in 1919, allowing easy highway access to Texarkana, 20 miles to the south.

The few parts of the PRR that went to CSX after the Conrail split are ( 1 ) the western end of the Fort Wayne Line across western Ohio and northern Indiana, ( 2 ) the Pope's Creek Secondary in Maryland, just to the east of Washington, and ( 3 ) the Landover Subdivision, a former Pennsy freight line in DC which connects to Amtrak's ex-Pennsy Northeast Corridor and CSX's ex-B & O Alexandria Extension on the north end and CSX's RF & P Subdivision on the south end via the ex-Pennsy " Long Bridge " across the Potomac River.

The Laggan Subdivision covered the Eastern portion of their assigned territory and included the Field Hill and the famous Spiral Tunnels while the Western portion of their primary, assigned territory consisted of the Mountain Subdivision which covered the remaining and included the famous Rogers Pass, the Connaught Tunnel and Stoney Creek Bridge.

The township comprises the communities of Avondale, Bainsville, Bayview Estates, Bridge End, Brown House Corner, Camerons Point, Cashions Glen, Curry Hill, Dalhousie Mills, Glen Brook, Glendale Subdivision, Glen Falloch, Glen Nevis, Glen Norman, Glenroy, Glen Walter, Green Valley, Lancaster, Lancaster Heights, Loon Island, MacGillivrays Bridge, Martintown, Munroes Mills, North Branch, North Lancaster, North Lancaster Station, Pine Hill, Redwood Estates, South Lancaster, Summerstown, Summerstown Station, St. Raphaels, Tyotown, and Williamstown.

SR 76 heads north from Forest Hill Road as a ten-lane road that crosses the James River and CSX's Rivanna Subdivision on the Powhite Parkway Bridge just south of the mouth of Powhite Creek.

North of the Stony Point complex, SR 150 crosses the James River, CSX's Rivanna Subdivision, and the defunct James River and Kanawha Canal on a gradual S-curve via the Edward E. Willey Bridge just east of Bosher Dam.

This trackage continues another 5. 6 miles on the Mattawamkeag Subdivision from McAdam to the International Boundary at the Saint Croix-Vanceboro Railway Bridge where it continues into the United States as the EMRY.

The Alexandria Extension runs south 7. 2 miles ( 11. 6 km ) from a junction at Hyattsville, Maryland to the Anacostia Railroad Bridge and the RF & P Subdivision in Southeast D. C.

The B & O built a connecting track from the Alexandria Extension to the B & P's Anacostia Railroad Bridge, which provided access to PRR tracks in southwest D. C. ( now called the CSX RF & P Subdivision ) and the Long Bridge.

Tracks ran south from the station along Sixth Street to a wye junction at Sixth Street SW, Maryland Avenue SW, and Virginia Avenue SW. Ironically, the tracks along Maryland Avenue ran over the Long Bridge to Virginia, and the tracks along Virginia Avenue went east into Maryland ( see Landover Subdivision ).

CSX operates it, along with the old connection to the New York Central main line, and the connection to the Whirlpool Rapids Bridge and Michigan Central Railway Bridge ( via the old Rochester, Lockport and Niagara Falls Railroad ), as their Niagara Subdivision.

Its south end is at the Buffalo Terminal Subdivision ; its north end is near the Canadian border at the Whirlpool Bridge.

The New Orleans East Land Bridge is made up of five distinct residential areas: the Rigolets, Chef Pass, Greens Ditch, Lake St. Catherine, and Fort Pike Subdivision ; all of which border Highway 90 in New Orleans East.

The Canadian National Railway's Newmarket Subdivision, originally built by the Northern Railway of Canada in the nineteenth century, runs through Severn Bridge ( CN has abandoned its Newmarket Subdivision south of the junction with its Bala Subdivision in nearby Washago, a few kilometres to the south ).
