It was the opinion of many tutors at the time Rincewind was a student that he had a level that was possibly in minus figures, and that the overall magical potential of humanity would actually increase after his death.

Unable to learn any other spells, which were afraid of sharing his head with one of the spells of the Octavo, Rincewind was dismissed from the University.

In the escape, Rincewind and Neilette break into the old brewery ( which was never used because all the beer kept going flat ).

The story is a parody of the tale of Faust, and follows the events of Sourcery in which the Wizard Rincewind was trapped in the Dungeon Dimensions.

Rincewind is disheartened to learn that the spells to confine the demon summoned are working on him ; Eric's parrot tells him that because he was summoned as a demon, he is subject to the same terms.

A sea troll named Tethis was encountered by Rincewind in The Colour of Magic.

In this, he was quite a malicious character and follows Rincewind around wanting him to die after circumstances resulted in Rincewind ' missing ' their scheduled ' appointment '.

* In Eric, Death was asked about an occult disturbance that turned out to be Rincewind.

Shortly before the permanent drought reached catastrophic proportions this was dissipated by Rincewind, although, as usual, he received no credit.

Rincewind began to say her name in The Colour of Magic but was cut short ; since it began with " L ", and in the Audio book version he pronounces " Lu " with a short u, along with all the other aforementioned clues and traits, it is commonly assumed she is Lady Luck.

He believes that this may have kick started evolution, and isn't happy about it ( possibly because this was the first good thing to happen to Rincewind, and he wasn't there to see it ).

Tsort: A mythical place ( no books have yet been set there, with the possible exception of the events portrayed in Eric where Rincewind and Eric Thursley appear briefly ), the Disc's analogue to ancient Troy.

* In Terry Pratchett's Interesting Times, the wizard, Rincewind, discovers a suit of armor owned by a previous emperor which gives him control of a terracotta army.

The story opens weeks after the events of Interesting Times, in which Rincewind is magically transported to the continent of Xxxx ( aka Fourecks, so named because no one has any clue what its real name is ) due to a miscalculation made by the Unseen University wizards.

Rincewind figures out how to free the wizards, by drawing a picture of them, as the Creator did to create animals and plants in the past.

Having saved Fourecks, Rincewind and the Wizards return to Ankh-Morpork by ship, and the story ends with the old man with the sack ( the Creator of the last continent ) catching the bullroarer in front of a young boy.

Several misadventures later, Rincewind, Conina and the Luggage are captured by Abrim, the Grand Vizier to Creosote, the Seriph of Al Khali.

Rincewind and Twoflower are controlled by the Lady, and is pitted against the champions of Zephyrus, the god of slight breezes, Fate and Offler the Crocodile God, in the game supervised by Blind Io.

Consequently, several orders of wizards try to capture Rincewind, led by Trymon, a former classmate of Rincewind's, who wishes to obtain the power of the spells for himself.

Rincewind and Twoflower are accompanied by Cohen the Barbarian, a toothless, ageing hero, and Bethan, a sacrificial virgin saved by Cohen, with assistance from Rincewind and Twoflower.

Rincewind wakes in a strange place, having been summoned by the 13-year-old demonologist, Eric Thursley, who wants the mastery of all kingdoms, to meet the most beautiful woman who ever existed, and to live forever.

Rincewind is a fictional character appearing in several of the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett.

Rincewind is also reputed for being able to solve minor problems by turning them into major disasters.

At the end, the Lady says " I never play to win but I do play not to lose ", and shows the gods Rincewind confronted by Australian-aborigine-type warriors.

In Discworld II the player controls Rincewind the " wizzard " ( voiced by Eric Idle, as in the previous game ) who has been burdened with the task of coercing Death out of his impromptu retirement and back into his regular duties.

It stars Rincewind the Wizard ( voiced by Eric Idle ) and is set on Terry Pratchett's Discworld.

The only two people to have done so appear to be One Sun Mirror, the first Emperor of the Aurient and friend of the Great Wizard, and Rincewind, who discovered them by accident.

In The Colour of Magic, Rincewind is brought before " the Patrician " but it is not clear whether this Patrician is Vetinari or his predecessor, Mad Lord Snapcase, or possibly even Homicidal Lord Winder, although the description of this Patrician does not seem to tally with that of Vetinari, as the Patrician in question is, for example, described as obese – a trait his two predecessors did possess, but which he lacks.

Rincewind is the Egregious Professor of Cruel and Unusual Geography, ( he also holds the Chair of Experimental Serendipity, the Reader in Slood Dynamics, the Fretwork Teacher, the Chair for the Public Misunderstanding of Magic, the Professor of Virtual Anthropology, the Lecturer in Approximate Accuracy, and the Health and Safety Officer ).

Rincewind is apparently the only wizard who still remembers the Librarian's name, but has agreed not to tell anyone.

Back in the present, Rincewind attempts to run away from his destiny, but in fact runs towards it.

Rincewind, having escaped from gaol, invents the Peach Nellie, and then meets up with a group of female impersonators, Darleen and Letitia, and a female, Neilette.

The hat, having been worn on the heads of hundreds of Archchancellors has gained a kind of sentience and is able to enlist both Conina and Rincewind to take it to Al Khali, far away from Ankh Morpork and the University.

Rincewind gets separated from the rest when he takes the flying carpet and makes his way to the University, where he finds, thunderstruck, that the Library has been burned down.

Rincewind orders Coin to return to the University and, using his other sock filled with sand, attacks the Creatures from the Dungeon Dimensions.

Later, Hrun agrees to travel with and protect Twoflower and Rincewind in exchange for Heroic pictures of him from Twoflower's magical picture box.

After the wizard Rincewind has fallen from the edge of the Discworld, the Octavo magic book saves his life and he lands back onto the world.

After winning a fight against them, Rincewind is able to read all eight spells aloud ; whereupon the eight moons of the red star crack open and reveal eight tiny world-turtles that follow their parent A ' Tuin on a course away from the star.

Rincewind and Eric are left on the newly formed world, with the realization that " to live forever " means to live for all time, from start to finish.

Rincewind asks for a blue balloon and the Librarian asks for some library supplies ( and manages to refrain from bouncing Blind Io's head on the ground after Io calls him ' a monkey ').

The Patrician of Ankh-Morpork is sent a letter from the Agatean Empire on the Counterweight Continent commanding him to " send us the Great Wizzard ", the spelling on the hat of Rincewind.

It all begins in a quiet Ankh-Morpork street, where Rincewind and The Librarian inexplicably fail to die from a nearby cart-bomb explosion.
