Inner City Unit ( ICU ) is a British punk / space rock band fronted by ex-Hawkwind founder Nik Turner on saxophone with Judge Trev Thoms or Steve Pond ( guitar ), Dead Fred ( keyboards ), Baz Magneto, Dave Anderson or Nazar Ali Khan ( bass ), and Mick Stupp or Dino Ferari on drums.

Judge Trev and Stupp were unavailable for the making of the next album New Anatomy so they recruited Steve Pond, who had previously toured with ICU during the shows for the Passout album as synth player, to play guitar and program the drum machine.

Dead Fred and Steve Pond went on to play with another ex-Hawkwind man Robert Calvert.

In the 1980s original guitarist Judge Trev Thoms started a three-piece metal band named Atomgods which, for a while, also featured second ICU guitarist Steve Pond on bass.

Meanwhile, drummer Dan Hobson has remained active in the Madison music scene, playing in several bands, including Cement Pond with Tim Sullivan ( of Drug Induced Nightmare No. 4 ) on guitar, Steve Burke ( of The Gomers ) on guitar and vocals, and Gordon Ranney ( also of The Gomers ) on bass and vocals.

The 1982 Steve Martin comedy Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid was shot in black-and-white as a parody of a 1940s film noir and included footage of actors from the film-noir era such as Humphrey Bogart, Burt Lancaster, and others spliced in with the modern actors.

During 2006, Hart teamed up with fellow Grateful Dead bandmate Bill Kreutzmann, Phish bassist Mike Gordon and former The Other Ones lead guitarist Steve Kimock, to form the Rhythm Devils, a nickname that refers to Hart and Kreutzmann's drum duets and improvisation.

He moved into television in the late 1950s, directing some episodes of the Steve McQueen western serial Wanted: Dead or Alive and the Chuck Connors western The Rifleman.

Grissom was depicted by Fred Ward in the film The Right Stuff ( 1983 ) and ( very briefly ) in the film Apollo 13 ( 1995 ) by Steve Bernie.

In 1979, with the encouragement of longtime BS & T manager Fred Heller, who had numerous requests for the band to play more shows, David Clayton-Thomas decided to continue Blood, Sweat & Tears with an entirely new lineup that consisted of himself and other Canadian musicians ( Kenny Marco-guitar, David Piltch-bass, Joe Sealy-keyboards, Bruce Cassidy-trumpet, flugelhorn, Earl Seymour-sax, flute, Steve Kennedy-sax, flute and Sally Chappis-drums, with Harvey Kogan soon replacing Kennedy and Jack Scarangella succeeding Chappis ).

On March 12 & 13, 1993, Al Kooper organized two shows at the Bottom Line in NYC that were advertised as " A Silver Anniversary Celebration Of The Classic Album The Child Is Father To The Man ", which featured Al, Randy Brecker, Jim Fielder, Steve Katz and Fred Lipsius playing together for the first time in twenty five years, accompanied by Anton Fig, Tom Malone, Lew Soloff, John Simon and Jimmy Vivino, as well as a two woman chorus and string section.
