Student musical organizations are the Knights of Carleton and the Overtones ( men's vocal groups ), and the Keynotes ( a women's singing group ).

The Committee Against Investment in South Africa ( CAISA ) and numerous student groups including the Socialist Action Committee, the Black Student Organization and the Gay Students group joined together and succeeded in pressing for the first partial divestment of a U. S. university.

Other Ohio groups, including Ohio Citizen Action and the Ohio Student Environmental Coalition, worked actively to convince municipalities, such as Bowling Green, to live up to their green rhetoric and cancel their participation in the plant.

Student groups that focus on the experiences of racially diverse, culturally diverse, and LGBT students are also active on campus.

The Bernhard Center is a centrally located multi-purpose Student Union which provides student and community groups with meeting space.

Its umbrella organization — the Student Theatre Coalition, or StuCo — organizes nine student theatre companies, plus some other performance groups.

Greensboro College has more than 20 student organizations, with various opportunities including Student Government Association ( SGA ), Pride Productions, United African-American Society ( UAAS ), Residence Hall Association ( RHA ), newspaper, literary magazine, theatre, musical and instrumental groups, and other special interest, honor and service organizations.

Despite this the five College Student Committees, volunteer groups made up of elected officers and supporting volunteers, have retained a reasonably strong presence on campus.

The school has a Student Council, in which each of the 32 tutor groups has a representative.

According to Program for International Student Assessment ( PISA ) results, Shanghai students, including migrant children, scored highest in every aspect ( Math, Reading and Science ) in the world.

The first dining hall is the Student Center which is home to the cafeteria, a smaller dining hall for eating and socializing, the LA Tech Cafe, several small restaurants including Chick-fil-A and Burger King, and the Tonk.

KUSU also offers independent advice ( including Citizens ' Advice ) and representation through their Student Support services.

Today, the building-renamed Holloway Hall after the retirement of Salisbury's first president, Dr. William J. Holloway-houses administrative offices, including the Office of the President, the Office of the Provost, Financial Aid, Registrar, Public Relations, Student Health Services, and Human Resources.
