Yogananda's seeking after various saints mostly ended when he met his guru, Swami Yukteswar Giri, in 1910, at the age of 17.
Mahavatar Babaji also bestowed on Yukteswar the title of ' Swami ' at that meeting.
Some of his notable disciples included Panchanon Bhattacharya, Yukteswar Giri, Swami Pranabananda, Swami Keshabananda, Bhupendranath Sanyal, and the parents of Paramahansa Yogananda.
