RPO players have been involved with many performances away from the classical repertory, including Yanni Live at the Acropolis, a concert held in Greece in 1993, conducted by Shahrdad Rohani ; the Hooked on Classics series of records ; orchestral arrangements of rock music by the likes of Pink Floyd, Elkie Brooks ( on the album Amazing ), Oasis, Queen, George Michael, R. E. M., U2, and ABBA ; the song / album, Art of Life by Japanese rock band X Japan, composed by Yoshiki Hayashi ; the official theme music of the UEFA Champions League ( UEFA Champions League Anthem ), tracks on the British folk metal band Skyclad's 2004 album A Semblance of Normality the Symphonic Rock: A Symphony of Hits 2004 album ; and the BBC Grandstand Theme in 1982 ; Seotaiji Symphony, a concert held in Seoul in 2008, with South Korean rock star Seo Taiji, conducted by Tolga Kashif.

The emergence of the group Seo Taiji and Boys in 1992 marked a turning point for Korean popular music, by incorporating elements of American popular musical genres of the 1990s.

ETP Fest or ETP Festival is one of the biggest rock music festivals in South Korea founded by rock singer Seo Taiji.

Taiji Satou, vocalist and guitarist for Theater Brook, wrote the music to the song " Taiji " for Sakurai's solo album Ai no Wakusei ( 2004 ).

Hong Taiji ( 28 November 1592 – 21 September 1643 ; reigned 1626 – 1643 ), also transliterated as Huang Taiji based on the Chinese language transcription of his name, was the first Emperor of the Qing Dynasty.

Upon Nurhaci's death, Hong Taiji immediately switched his two White Banners with Nurhaci's two Yellow Banners, which should have been passed on to Dorgon and his brothers.

Hong Taiji died on 21 September, possibly of stroke, just a few months before his army would seize control of Beijing.

Ex-bassist Taiji joined them on stage both nights as a guest for the song " X ", he would die the following year.

In 1628, Dodo followed Hong Taiji on the conquest of Chahar, Mongolia, and was granted the title of eerkechuhuer ( 額爾克楚虎爾 ) for his achievements.

The following year, he followed Hong Taiji again on the conquest of the Ming Dynasty, crossing the Great Wall and closing in on the Ming capital of Beijing.

He followed Hong Taiji on the campaign against the Joseon Dynasty and defeated the enemy at Mount Nanhan.

Shindo made a series of autobiographical films, beginning with the first film he directed, 1951's Story of a Beloved Wife, about his struggle to become a screenwriter, through 1986's Tree Without Leaves, about his childhood, born into a wealthy family which became destitute, 2000's By Player, about his film company, seen through the eyes of his friend Taiji Tonoyama, and his last film, Postcard, directed at the age of 98, loosely based on his military service.

In 1950 they both left to form an independent production company, Kindai Eiga Kyokai with actor Taiji Tonoyama, which went on to produce most of Shindo's films.

Heavy metal band X Japan has performed at Tokyo Dome many times, including: their last concert with former bassist Taiji on January 7, 1992 ( On the Verge of Destruction 1992. 1. 7 Tokyo Dome Live ) and their last concert before disbanding on December 31, 1997 ( The Last Live Video ).

Jeong Hyeon-cheol ( born on February 21, 1972 ), better known as Seo Taiji, is a South Korean singer, musician, and songwriter.

Jerjer married Hong Taiji, ruler of the Later Jin Dynasty, on 28 May 1614 and became his official spouse even though she was not his first wife.

Instead of basing its moves on speed, power and preemption, the Taiji Fist's moves are slow, " soft " and seemingly powerless.

The album became very popular after receiving praise from many well-known artists, including Seo Taiji and Shin Seung Hun.

However, the Japan Times reported that the mortality rate for Taiji and nearby Kozagawa, where dolphin meat is also consumed, is over 50 % higher in comparison to some other similarly sized villages in other regions of Japan.

Injo, who was running out of food supplies at last surrendered to Qing Dynasty, and agreed for the Treaty of Samjeondo, where Injo bowed to the Hong Taiji nine times as his servant, and his first and second son was taken to China as captives.

Many Taoists venerate Laozi as Daotsu the founder of the school of Dao, the Daode Tianjun in the Three Pure Ones, one of the eight elders transformed from Taiji in the Chinese creation myth.

His interest in animation began during high school after watching Japan's first full-length feature animation The Tale of the White Serpent by Taiji Yabushita.

As Qing power expanded north of the Great Wall in the last years of the Ming Dynasty, the Banner system was expanded by Nurhachi's son and successor Hong Taiji to include mirrored Mongol and Han Banners.

It is conceptualized by an emblem consisting of one large and four small Swastika symbols, representing the Buddha, and four small Taiji ( yin-yang ) symbols of the Daoist tradition.

The film addresses the problem of whale and dolphin killing in Taiji, Wakayama, Japan.

Over a period of thirty years from 1586, Nurhaci, a chieftain of the Jianzhou Jurchens, united the Jurchen tribes, which was later renamed Manchu by his son Hung Taiji.

The creation of the Manchu ethnic group from the Jurchen people is linked to the creation of the Eight Banners by Hung Taiji.

Attempts by Hung Taiji were made to separate Chinese and Jurchen banners.

The Mongol Eight banners were also created at this time, and anyone who was not classified into a Chinese or a Mongol banner became a Manchu, an ethnic group which Hung Taiji created.
