Carl Barks ( March 27, 1901 – August 25, 2000 ) was an American Disney Studio illustrator and comic book creator, who invented Duckburg and many of its inhabitants, such as Scrooge McDuck ( 1947 ), Gladstone Gander ( 1948 ), the Beagle Boys ( 1951 ), The Junior Woodchucks ( 1951 ), Gyro Gearloose ( 1952 ), Cornelius Coot ( 1952 ), Flintheart Glomgold ( 1956 ), John D. Rockerduck ( 1961 ) and Magica De Spell ( 1961 ).

He surrounded Donald Duck and nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie with a cast of eccentric and colorful characters, such as the aforementioned Scrooge McDuck, the wealthiest duck in the world ; Gladstone Gander, Donald's obscenely lucky cousin ; inventor Gyro Gearloose ; the persistent Beagle Boys ; the sorceress Magica De Spell ; Scrooge's rivals Flintheart Glomgold and John D. Rockerduck ; Daisy's nieces April, May and June ; Donald's neighbor Jones, and The Junior Woodchucks organization.

Porker soon lost his other riverboat to Blackheart Beagle and his sons, the first generation of Beagle Boys, a family of outlaws, and retired.

In some stories, Gyro's primary rival is Emil Eagle, although he is also antagonized by the Beagle Boys and Magica De Spell.

According to Barks, he intended to create her as another recurring antagonist for Scrooge, in addition to The Beagle Boys and Flintheart Glomgold.

She sometimes teams up with The Beagle Boys, her sometimes housemate Mad Madam Mim or her crush the Phantom Blot.

Magica makes a cameo appearance in the Darkwing Duck episode " In Like Blunt " along with the Beagle Boys and Flintheart Glomgold, among the bidders for the secret S. H. U. S. H.

Examples of such stories are Of Ducks and Dimes and Destinies, when she travels in time to steal the dime in the very same day Scrooge earns it and gives it back after realizing that by preventing Scrooge from owning the dime, she would turn it into a coin that never belonged to him, or A Little Something Special, when she teams up with Flintheart Glomgold and the Beagle Boys in a plan made by Blackheart Beagle.

She gives the dime back after realizing Scrooge wouldn't be the richest man on Earth after the Beagle Boys steal his money.

Glomgold is one of Scrooge's main rivals along with the Beagle Boys, Magica De Spell, and John D. Rockerduck, and also holds the title of being The Second Richest Duck in the World where Scrooge is the richest.

Magica De Spell teamed up with him and the Beagle Boys to get the Number One Dime.

To make things worse for Glomgold, Magica takes the Beagle Boys with her the Valley of Limpopo and they carry all they can of Flintheart's cash.

The previously unaffiliated Beagle Boys were now depicted as working for him on an occasional basis.

In the Disney series Darkwing Duck episode " In Like Blunt ", Glomgold makes a cameo appearance-along with the Beagle Boys and Magica DeSpell-as a bidder for the secret S. H. U. S. H.

Sometimes, Pete also teams up with other bad guys in the Disney universe, such as Scrooge McDuck's enemies ( the Beagle Boys and Magica De Spell ), Mad Madam Mim, Captain Hook, and the Evil Queen.

The money bin is the victim of repeated assaults by Scrooge's enemies who try to steal his money, such as the Beagle Boys, who are after the bulk of Scrooge's money, and Magica DeSpell, who is after Scrooge's " Number One Dime " ( the first dime Scrooge ever earned ).

In this story, the dime is so old that it has become thin as a razor blade and allows Scrooge to cut binding ropes and escape from the Beagle Boys.

The Beagle Boys are a group of fictional characters from the Scrooge McDuck universe.

Their introduction and first appearance was in Terror of the Beagle Boys, in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories # 134, although in this story they only appear in the last frame and have no lines.

The Beagle Boys were originally created by Carl Barks, and made their first appearance in the 10-page story The Terror of the Beagle Boys ( WDC # 134 ) that was first published in November 1951.

Meanwhile at a farm, a small group of Beagle puppies converse and make fun of a younger puppy ( voiced by Tobey Maguire ), who wants to be free.

Beagle, but then was very slow to make progress on the work, and though the first parts of work were published in 1838, Bell's contribution on reptiles ( Part 5 ) was published in two numbers, in 1842 and 1843, and he subsequently failed to take any action on the Crustacea.

That Christmas Charles visited Eras in London for three weeks, making use of the air-bed, then again at Easter 1831 before " geologising " in Wales, but as Erasmus was out of town when the opportunity to join the Voyage of the Beagle came up, Charles took lodgings in London to make his arrangements.

Other villains outside the official line-up that also make appearances include Clayton & Sabor of Deep Jungle, Oogie Boogie of Halloween Town, Captain Barbossa of Port Royal, the Master Control Program & Sark from Tron of Space Paranoids, Gantu of Deep Space, and Beagle Boys of Country of the Musketeers.

The video features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Pete, Goofy, Max, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Scrooge McDuck, Mortimer Mouse, Figaro the Kitten and Chip ' n Dale with cameos by Owl, Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, and a Beagle Boy.

McGovern starred in Walt Disney ’ s animated series Ducktales and Darkwing Duck as the characters Launchpad McQuack and Babyface Beagle ( only as Launchpad in Darkwing ).

The episode was reported by Darwin in his diaries of the Voyage of the Beagle as occurring in March 1835 to the east of the Andes near Mendoza.

The only exception was the episode " In Like Blunt ", which featured cameo appearances by the Beagle Boys, Flintheart Glomgold, and Magica De Spell.

He wrote of the episode in a letter to J. S. Henslow that one night when the Beagle was anchored in the estuary of the Río de la Plata:

" This episode, in which Angel relinquishes the chance to have a normal, happy life with Buffy in order to " fulfill his penance ," perfectly typifies Angel's character and fate, says Beagle.

The official Peanuts website describes the character of Snoopy as "... an extroverted Beagle with a Walter Mitty complex ", a reference to the many fantasy segments in which Snoopy imagines he is a World War I flying ace battling the Red Baron.

In his book " The Voyage of the Beagle ", Darwin described the mountain thus ;

It also imaged several nearby alcoves, informally named " Cape Verde " and " Cabo Frio ", and a small bright crater the size of Beagle on the opposite end of Victoria.

The B-side " Beagle 2 ", was sent aboard Beagle 2, an unsuccessful British landing spacecraft that formed part of the European Space Agency's 2003 Mars Express mission.

There he had completed a television script for his manuscript " Darwin and the Beagle ", but tragedy struck before the book was published.
