The district's offices are located on Broad Street and the district's only high school, Lincolnwood Sr. High School ( shares building with Lincolnwood Jr. High School ), is located on the extreme east end of Prairie Street ( although the town is laid out in a slightly irregular fashion, making this street NORTH Prairie Street, despite the fact that it runs East-West ).

Broad Street is one of the borough's central streets and is known for its lavish Christmas decorations, which appear on the street during the holiday season.

The two main streets in the city are High Avenue and Broadway, both of which were named after two main streets from Philadelphia, except, in Philadelphia, High Avenue was renamed Market Street in 1858, " the High Street " was the familiar name of the principal street in nearly every English town at the time Philadelphia was founded, and Broad Street is the closest street name in Philadelphia to Broadway.

The path was soon removed and an established street was added that ran to the border of Edgbaston and, as a result of its widening, it was named Broad Street.

In the 1970s and 1980s, Broad Street was still very much a suburban high street.

Developments planned for the street include Regal Tower, Broad Street Tower, Arena Central, The Library of Birmingham and a redevelopment of Five Ways Shopping Centre.

In 1671 he married Geertruyd Schuyler, of Albany, and established his residence at the " Waterside ," on the present line of Pearl street, near Broad, where he engaged in business as a merchant.

* In 1854, a cholera outbreak in London's Soho district was identified by Dr. John Snow as originating from contaminated water from the Broad street pump.

Another large event in the summer is the annual art show sponsored by the Village Art Association of Lititz, along with the craft show sponsored by the Lititz Rotary Club, which extends from the Lititz Springs Park out into Broad Street ( PA-501 ) and Main Street ( PA-772 ).

A tunnel under Broad Street connects the Old and New Bodleian buildings, and contains a pedestrian walkway, a mechanical book conveyor and a pneumatic Lamson tube system which was used for book orders until an electronic automated stack request system was introduced in 2002.
