The Faculty of Engineering operates the Ocean Research Centre Atlantic, which is dedicated to carrying out research and tests in the areas of naval and off-shore engineering.

It is organized by the students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in the month of March with the aim of promoting the spirit of innovation and discovery among the participants and features competitions in coding, robotics, hardware designing, and even mathematical puzzles.

The University has been enriched by contributions from people like Prof. Amartya Sen, Prof. Sudhindranath Datta, Prof. Buddhadeb Bosu and Prof. Panchanan Chakravorty and many others who steered the early progress of the Arts and Science Faculties-the new additions to the original Faculty of Engineering & Technology.

The university traditionally centers on the Lundagård park adjacent to the Lund Cathedral, with various departments spread in different locations in town, but mostly concentrated in a belt stretching north from the park connecting to the university hospital area and continuing out to the northeastern periphery of the town, where one finds the large campus of the Faculty of Engineering.

Although one of the original faculties established, teaching in the Faculty of Medicine did not begin formally until 1714, with the revival of the Chair in the Practice of Medicine.

The Centre for International Sustainable Development Law ( CISDL ), although not formally affiliated with McGill University, is associated with the Faculty of Law and has its head office there.

To assist regional students, The Faculty of Higher Education, Lilydale introduced a 5-point ATAR ( formally ENTER ) bonus for VCE applicants in nominated postcodes when they apply for an undergraduate degree at the Lilydale campus.

It was not until 1925, however, that the Royal College of Dental Surgeons formally relinquished its teaching function in order to permit the School to become a Faculty of the University of Toronto.

Aarhus University had offered courses in basic medical subjects from 1933 and on 10 October 1935 the Faculty of Medicine was formally established.

The College House, the Faculty of Graduate Studies ( FGS ) and the Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology ( IBMBB ) are located along Kumarathunga Munidasa Mawatha ( formally Thurstan Road named after Thurstan College ) between Queens Road and the India House.

Except for the 1962-1965 period, the School of Religion ( formally renamed the Crane Theological School in 1955 ) was one of the Associated Schools of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences from 1903 until the school's closing in 1967.

As part of the same reorganization, the Trustees redesignated the Faculty of Arts and Sciences as the Faculty of Arts, Sciences, & Engineering and formally created a School of Arts and Sciences ( encompassing the College of Liberal Arts and Jackson College and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences ).

Among those that still exist, the Society of Writers to Her Majesty's Signet ( WS Society ) was formally established in 1594 and the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow was incorporated before 1668.
