Aga Khan I (; or, less commonly but more correctly (; ), was the title accorded to Hasan Ali Shah (; ; 1804 in Kohak, Iran – 1881 in Bombay, India ), the governor of Kirman, 46th Imam of the Nizari Ismaili Muslims, and prominent Muslim leader in Iran and later in the Indian Subcontinent.

Ismaili and public
Access to education was made available to the public and many Fatimid da ‘ is received at least part of their training in this major institution of learning which served the Ismaili da ‘ wa ( mission ) until the downfall of the Fatimid dynasty.
However, since a certain number of undefined years after the formation of the independent country of Pakistan ( a major hub for Nizari Ismailis, as indicated earlier ) in 1947, and particularly since the advent of the 49th Imam of the Nizari Ismailis, the Aga Khan IV, in 1957, the bulk of the public information available on the position of the Imam in Nizari Ismailism indicates that the position may be viewed as ' less divine ' than during the lives of previous Nizari Ismaili Imams – or, even, not divine altogether.
