The Cornish Nationalist Party ( CNP ),, was a political party in the United Kingdom, led by Dr James Whetter which campaigned for independence for Cornwall.

Today, the Cornish Nationalist Party is seen as more of a pressure group as they do not put up candidates for any elections, although their visibility and influence within Cornwall is negligible.

After Sun's death from cancer in 1925, one of his protégés, Chiang Kai-shek, seized control of the Kuomintang ( Nationalist Party or KMT ) and succeeded in bringing most of south and central China under its rule in a military campaign known as the Northern Expedition ( 1926 – 1927 ).

In Taiwan, where the Nationalist Party ( Kuomintang ) strongly promoted Confucian beliefs in ethics and behavior, the tradition of the memorial ceremony of Confucius ( 祭孔 ) is supported by the government and has continued without interruption.

The 1922 election saw the main anti-Labor party, the Nationalist Party of Australia deprived of a majority, and were required to form a coalition in order to command a majority on the floor of parliament.

Chiang was an influential member of the Nationalist Party, the Kuomintang ( KMT ), and was a close ally of Sun Yat-sen.

The Communists, tipped-off that a Nationalist offensive was imminent, retreated in the Long March, during which Mao Zedong rose from a mere military official to the most influential leader of the Communist Party of China.

However, it was readily accepted by members of the Chinese Nationalist Party and is the name under which Chiang Kai-shek is still commonly known in Taiwan.

Bellamy himself came to actively participate in the political movement which emerged around his book, particularly after 1891 when he founded his own magazine, The New Nation, and began to promote united action between the various Nationalist Clubs and the emerging People's Party.

The other members of the Bureau are all vice-presidents: Jill Evans ( Plaid Cymru ), Gustave Alirol ( Occitan Party ), Fabrizio Comencini ( Liga Veneta Repubblica ), Ana Miranda Paz ( Galician Nationalist Bloc ), Ian Hudghton ( Scottish National Party ), Sybren Posthumus ( Frisian National Party ), Sebastian Colio ( Basque Solidarity ), Dimitrios Ioannou ( Rainbow ), Rolf Granlund ( Future of Åland ), Reinhild Campidell ( South Tyrolean Freedom ) and Lucy Collyer ( Majorca Socialist Party ).

The appointment was denounced by the opposition Nationalist Party of Australia as being " practically republican ", but the precedent had been set.

The Syrian Social Nationalist Party, which operates in Lebanon and Syria, works for the unification of most modern states of the Levant and beyond in a single state referred to as Greater Syria.

Mao Zedong's Communist Party of China, though receptive to minimal Soviet support, defeated the pro-Western and heavily American-assisted Chinese Nationalist Party ( Kuomintang, KMT ) in the Chinese Civil War.

Xabier Arzalluz Antia ( born 24 August 1932 ) is a Spanish Basque nationalist politician, who has been the leader of the Basque Nationalist Party for two decades, until 2004.

* On April 6, 1932, Nationalist partisans marched into the Capitol building in San Juan to protest a legislative proposal to establish the current Puerto Rican flag as the official flag of the insular government.

In November 1932 he secretly established the first nucleus of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, which operated underground for the first three years of its existence.

Labor narrowly lost the 1928 state election to the Nationalist Party.

However, with the election of the Kuomintang ( KMT, " Chinese Nationalist Party ") back into executive power in 2008, the ROC government has changed its position back to that " mainland China is also part of the territory of the ROC.

The general election in January 1910 returned a " hung parliament " with the balance of power held by Labour and Irish Nationalist members.

This was confirmed by a referendum in March 2003 and general election held in April 2003 which confirmed the Nationalist Party in government and Fenech Adami as Prime Minister.
