The Valley's North Stand which is known by locals as " The Covered End " to this day and is where the more vocal fans gather.

The Valley Club ( CAFC Supporters Club ) was situated in Harvey Gardens behind the North Stand, and was managed by licensee Ray Donn from 1970 – 1984 the club had a full club licence supplying food and drink to its members and guests during match days and live entertainment, with cabaret and dancing every night of the week.

The main supporters group of Sporting Kansas City cheers in the Member's Stand on the North side of Livestrong Park and is known as " The Cauldron ".

During 1934 the cricket pavilion had been demolished to make way for the new North Stand, which was built on the rugby union ground, costing around £ 20, 000.

However in 1941 the new North Stand and part of the west terracing had been badly damaged in the Blitz by the Luftwaffe during the Second World War.

On 17 October 1970, the new North Stand and the Cardiff RFC ground was completed, the North Stand cost just over GB £ 1 million.

The rugby ground has two main stands, the North Stand, which was renamed the Bmibaby Stand in August 2002, and the South Stand.

The South Stand of the rugby ground formed a complete unit with the North Stand of the National Stadium.

Now the same structure of the South Stand of the rugby ground is also physically attached to the North Stand of the Millennium Stadium.

This came about because the WRU were unable to secure enough funding to include the North Stand in the Millennium Stadium, and the National Lottery Commission would not provide any additional funds to be used for the construction of a new ground for Cardiff RFC.

The Millennium Stadium was therefore built with the old reinforced concrete structure of the National Stadium ( North Stand ) and the new steel Millennium Stadium structure built around it.

Cardiff RFC Ltd, the company that runs Cardiff Blues and Cardiff RFC, still has a 15-year lease on the Arms Park, but talks are underway to release the rugby club from the terms of the lease, to enable the Millennium Stadium to be redeveloped with a new North Stand and adjoining convention centre.

In 1995, the North Stand was redeveloped into three tiers, restoring capacity to approximately 55, 000.

As a result of the stadium layout and segregation policy, turnstiles that would normally have been used to enter the North Stand from the east were off-limits and all Liverpool supporters had to converge on a single entrance at Leppings Lane.

Demolition of the North Stand began in 1960 and work began on a new £ 150, 000 stand.

The North Stand of the Brabourne housed the BCCI headquarters and the 1983 Cricket World Cup trophy until 2006 when both were moved to the newly built Cricket Centre at the nearby Wankhede Stadium.
