The Radiology department features a CAT scanner, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound.

The hospital also offers a six-bed Intensive Care Unit, a dedicated Emergency Room ( with an average of over 30, 000 visits from 2004 – 2006 ), an Obstetrics Unit ( with 725 births in FY 2006 ), Surgical services ( 6, 356 surgical procedures and 1, 184 endoscopies FY 2006 ), Medical-Telemetry care, Medical-Surgical and Pediatric care, Physical Rehabilitation, Nuclear Medicine and CT services, and a Sleep Study center, amongst other various professional services at the hospital.

The term ‘ Physical Agents ’ refers to ionising and non-ionising electromagnetic radiations, static electric and magnetic fields, ultrasound, laser light and any other Physical Agent associated with medical e. g., x-rays in computerised tomography ( CT ), gamma rays / radionuclides in Nuclear Medicine, magnetic fields and radio-frequencies in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( MRI ), ultrasound in Ultrasound Imaging and Doppler measurements etc.

Before joining Pakistan's nuclear energy programme, Mahmood was trained at the Nuclear Engineering Division of the Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology ( PINSTECH ).

Later, he was transferred to the Nuclear Engineering Division of PAEC.

Subsequently, Rickover became chief of a new section in the Bureau of Ships, the Nuclear Power Division, and began work with Alvin M. Weinberg, the Oak Ridge director of research, both to establish the Oak Ridge School of Reactor Technology and to begin the design of the pressurized water reactor for submarine propulsion.

As vice president and general manager of GE's Nuclear Products Division in San Jose, California, he was responsible for the manufacture of nuclear fuel, reactor internal equipment, and control and instrumentation for GE boiling-water reactors at facilities located in San Jose and Wilmington, North Carolina.

On September 9, 1980, Berrigan, his brother Daniel, and six others ( the " Plowshares Eight ") began the Plowshares Movement when they entered the General Electric Nuclear Missile Re-entry Division in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania where nose cones for the Mark 12A warheads were made.

He was the Acting Director for the Advanced Capabilities Division in the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate, and was responsible for a broad range of activities to include Human Research, Technology Development, Nuclear Power and Propulsion and the Lunar Robotic Exploration Programs to support the Vision for Space Exploration.

At the Multan meeting, Bhutto also appointed nuclear engineer, Munir Ahmad Khan, as chairman of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission ( PAEC ), who, until then, had been working as Director at the Nuclear Power and Reactor Division of the International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA ), in Vienna, Austria.

Therefore, On October 1965, Munir Ahmad Khan, director at the Nuclear Power and Reactor Division of the International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA ), met with Bhutto on emergency basis in Vienna, revealing the facts about the Indian nuclear programme and a weapon production facility in Trombay.

The principal facility there was a 5MWe research reactor, commissioned in 1965 and consisting of the PARR-I, which was upgraded to 10 MWe by Nuclear Engineering Division under Munir Ahmad Khan in 1990.

Shortly after assuming office, he cancelled the previous government's plans to privatize the Nuclear Inspection Services Division of Ontario Power Generation.

In 1948, after he obtained British citizenship, he was invited by John Cockcroft to contribute to the British atomic bomb project at AERE, Harwell where he joined the Nuclear Physics Division under Egon Bretscher.

A fellow of the American Nuclear Society, Dr. Beyster has served as Chairman of its Reactor Physics Division and Shielding Division.

He was also elected Chairman of the American Physical Society, Division of Nuclear Physics ( 1974 – 75 ).

He was elected to member of the National Academy of Engineering in 2003, " for fundamental contributions to our understanding of low-level radiation " and Chairman of the American Nuclear Society Division of Environmental Sciences ( 1980 – 81 ).
