There is limited bus service to Byron by Tri-Delta Transit's route 386, that connects the community and Discovery Bay with the Brentwood Park and Ride Lot where passengers may transfer to buses connecting to other cities in the region in addition to Pittsburg / Bay Point ( BART station ) and Brentwood Dimes-A-Ride transit.

The BART Pittsburg / Bay Point – SFO / Millbrae line and Richmond – Millbrae line serve the Millbrae Intermodal Station.

The Pittsburg / Bay Point Line of the Bay Area Rapid Transit runs in the freeway's center median, excepting the vicinity of the Caldecott Tunnel and the approach to the interchange with Interstate 680.

For service to / from Richmond and Daly City / San Francisco at those times, passengers must transfer between the Pittsburg / Bay Point Line and the Richmond-Fremont Line.

On January 1, 2008, this line became identified on maps as the Richmond – Millbrae Line, which includes service to / from all the stations between Daly City and Millbrae ( with the exception of the San Francisco International Airport which is served by the Pittsburg Bay Point Line during all periods of operations ) on weekdays only.

The Dublin / Pleasanton Line terminated at Daly City as of September 14, 2009 with Pittsburg Bay Point lines extended to Millbrae on nights, weekends, and holidays.

Transfer with the Pittsburg / Bay Point Line is also possible, but the timing of the transfer may not be convenient.

The Pittsburg / Bay Point – SFO / Millbrae line of the Bay Area Rapid Transit system in the San Francisco Bay Area consists of 26 metro stations from Pittsburg / Bay Point to San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae.

Bay Point, formerly West Pittsburg, is a suburb and census-designated place located in eastern Contra Costa County, California, just west of the city of Pittsburg and northeast over a low range of hills from Concord.

Bay Point was previously known by several names, including Bella Vista and, until 1993, West Pittsburg.

The city of Pittsburg recently made overtures in attempting to annex Bay Point.

Concord is bordered on the west by Pleasant Hill and the unincorporated community of Pacheco, on the south by Walnut Creek, on the southeast by Clayton, on the northeast by Pittsburg and the unincorporated community of Bay Point, and on the north by the unincorporated community of Clyde.

On September 14, 2009, the Pittsburg / Bay Point Line became reidentified on maps as the Pittsburg / Bay Point – SFO / Millbrae Line, as service to / from the stations between Daly City and SFO was reinstated during all of BART's operating hours, with additional service to Millbrae station on weekdays after 7pm and all day on weekends and holidays.
