The Savoy Hotel managed by César Ritz was an early hotel Escoffier worked at, but much of his influence came during his management of the kitchens in the Carlton from 1898 until 1921.

Savoy Hotel, Strand entrance

The Savoy Hotel, designed by architect Thomas Edward Collcutt, opened in 1889.

Five years after the payments began, Mulroney and Schreiber met again in a suite at the Hotel Savoy in Zurich, Switzerland.

Henry made Peter Earl of Richmond in 1241 and gave him the land between the Strand and the Thames, where Peter built the Savoy Palace in 1263, on the site of the present Savoy Hotel.

In 1938 Hugh Wontner joined the Savoy hotel group as Reeves-Smith's assistant, and he became managing director in 1941.

In 1998, American private equity house Blackstone Group purchased the Savoy hotel group.
