Last Bronx, a 1996 Sega game played on the bad reputation of the Bronx to lend its name to an alternate version of post-Japanese bubble Tokyo, where crime and gang warfare is rampant.

The original Sega Master System version had two hundred levels.

Sega converted Bubble Bobble for the Master System ( although this version was not released in North America ).

This version uses the Sega NetLink for online gaming, and has built-in support for the Saturn's analog pad.

A known side effect of this policy was the Sega Genesis version of Mortal Kombat selling over double the number of the Super NES version, mainly because Nintendo had forced publisher Acclaim to recolor the red blood to look like white sweat and replace some of the more gory graphics in its release of the game, making it non-violent.

Sega also produced a unique bullfighting game, Bull Fight, and a multiple-watersports game Water Match ( published by Bally Midway ), which included swimming, kayaking and boat racing ; while Taito released a fully third-person motorbike racing game Kick Start, an early female sports game based on high-school track & field, The Undoukai, and an early dirt track racing game Buggy Challenge, featuring a buggy.

The game was ported to many home computers by Ocean Software in 1989, and included versions for the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, Amiga and Atari ST. Taito released versions of the game for the Nintendo Entertainment System ( 1989 ), Game Boy ( 1990 ), Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear ( 1991 ), and TurboGrafx-16 ( 1992 ).

It is also included in the Sega Mega Drive pack.

The European release of the Mega Drive and the Windows PC versions of the game included the Sega Tunes: Comix Zone soundtrack, which contains ' enhanced ' music taken from the game's soundtrack and played by a full rock band with vocals named ' Roadkill ' ( the main character's pet rat, as well as a playable item ; see above ).

An 8-bit version was also released for the Sega Master System and the Game Gear in 1993, which featured similar game play, but also included a " Puzzle Mode ", in which the player must clear a series of flashing beans amidst a large pile.
