Located north of Toronto on Cook's Bay ( part of Lake Simcoe ), Keswick is part of the Town of Georgina.

In 1966, it was redefined to consist of, in the County of Ontario, the Townships of Pickering, Reach, Scott, Scugog, Uxbridge, East Whitby and Whitby ( excluding the area between the west limit of the City of Oshawa and the east limit of the Town of Whitby lying south of the road allowance between Concessions 2 and 3 ), and, in the County of York, the Townships of Georgina and North Gwillimbury, and all the islands of Georgina Island Indian Reserve No. 33.

The community was formerly a village but is now part of the Town of Georgina after amalgamation with it and North Gwillimbury in 1971.

Pefferlaw is a community within the Town of Georgina, located 3 kilometres south of the southeastern shores of Lake Simcoe and in the eastern end of the town.

The town features several public facilities operated by the Town of Georgina, including a public library completed in 1989, community centre, fire station, and a large multi-use park.

The AES Cayuga electrical generating station operates in the Town of Lansing, on the east shore of Cayuga Lake.

The Delaware State Police polices Millville under a contract with the Town and the Millville Volunteer Fire Company serves Millville, Ocean View, and unincorporated portions of Sussex County as far east as the Assawoman Canal and as almost as far west as Dagsboro ; it purchased its first motor-driven firefighting vehicle in 1936 and today operates 16 vehicles.

The Town of Fort Myers Beach also operates Bay Oaks Recreational Campus ( BORC ).

The Town of Litchfield operates a waste management and transfer station on Hillcrest Road, located near the geographical center of Litchfield and the " new " town hall and police station.

Guttenberg operates under the Town form of New Jersey municipal government, and is governed by a mayor and a five-member council.

Dover Town operates using the Town form of government and is governed by a Mayor and Board of Aldermen.

Newton operates under the Faulkner Act ( Council-Manager ) form of municipal government with a five-member Town Council, whose members are chosen in nonpartisan elections to four-year terms of office on a staggered basis, with two or three seats coming up for election in even years.

The Town of Hackettstown operates under a Mayor-Council form of government.

Aer Lingus operates its United States office in Jericho CDP and in the Town of Oyster Bay.

Sumitomo Corporation operates its Lake Success Shared Services Center in Suite 220 at 1999 Marcus Avenue in an area in the Town of North Hempstead, south of Lake Success.

Peckham Materials Corp, a manufacturer asphalt and crushed stone, operates a large quarry at the Southern end of the Town.

Garner currently operates under a council – manager government whereby the Town Council is the publicly elected legislative body of the town, and appoints a Town Manager to manage the administrative operations of the town.

The Town of Pocahontas owns and operates the Pocahontas Exhibition Mine and Museum, a National Historic Landmark and Virginia's official " coal heritage zone.

The Town of Pocahontas also operates a water treatment plant and distribution system for the town and surrounding communities in both Virginia and West Virginia.

The Town of Flower Mound operates under a Council – manager type of municipal government.

From 1830 hrs the service operates from Town Quay until 2300 hrs.

Port Laoise Town Council is an elected local government body which is mandated under the Local Government Act 2001 to provide civic leadership and a forum for the democratic representation of the community.

There is a disused southbound exit slip road which passes under the Watford Way and which covers part of the old railway between Mill Hill East and Edgware Town.

Besides Somers Town and the area around St Pancras Old Church, the ward includes much of Camden Town and the former Kings Cross Goods Yard, which is being redeveloped as a mixed-use district under the name Kings Cross Central.

In 2007, Enfield Town centre completed a major redevelopment project under the name PalaceXchange while retaining the Palace Gardens Shopping Centre.
