There were major commissions: one from the city of Dessau for five tightly designed " Laubenganghäuser " ( apartment buildings with balcony access ), which are still in use today, and another for the headquarters of the Federal School of the German Trade Unions ( ADGB ) in Bernau bei Berlin.

During the following administrations, since 1928, many of the revolutionary ideals were put into effect, among them the free distribution of land to peasants and farmers, the nationalization of the oil companies, the birth and rapid growth of the Social Security Institute as well as that of Labor Unions, and the protection of national industries.

Mass protests were called by the All-Britain Anti-Poll Tax Federation, with which the vast majority of local Anti Poll Tax Unions ( APTUs ) were affiliated.

After the Second World War new international coordination bodies were created, such as the World Federation of Democratic Youth, International Union of Students, World Federation of Trade Unions, Women's International Democratic Federation and the World Peace Council.

Unions were formed as miners joined the Western Federation of Miners in 1896.

Workhouses were to be built in every parish and, if parishes were too small, parishes to group together to form Workhouse Unions.

Based on data from the World Council of Credit Unions, at the end of 2010 there were 52, 945 credit unions in 100 countries around the world.

These agreements were the basis for a rapid improvement in the relations between east and west and led, in the long-term to the dismantlement of the Warsaw Treaty and the Soviet Unions control over Eastern Europe.

In competition with the CIO movement, the AFL established Federal Labor Unions ( FLUs ), which were local industrial unions affiliated directly with the AFL, a concept initially envisioned in the 1886 AFL Constitution.

Christian Unions in university environments hosted evangelistic talks and provided biblical teaching for their members, Christian cafes opened with evangelistic aims, and church youth groups were set up.

On the first Tuesday in May, all the State Unions were to assemble and elect one representative each to the " National Council ," which was in turn to meet on the first Tuesday in May and elect a 5 member " Executive Board ," which was to hold office for a term of one year.

Unions in the packinghouse industry were able to form due to governmental pressure on the largest employers to recognize the unions rather than face a strike.

Starting in 2009 – 10, the four Home Unions have instituted the British and Irish Cup, an annual competition for semi-professional teams throughout Britain and Ireland ; the WRU enters six clubs in that competition.

The WZO today consists of the following institutions: The World Zionist Unions, international Zionist Federations ; and international organizations that define themselves as Zionist, such as WIZO, Hadassah, Bnai-Brith, Maccabi, the International Sephardic Federation, the three streams of world Judaism ( Orthodox, Conservative, Reform ), delegation from the CIS – Commonwealth of Independent States ( former Soviet Union ), the World Union of Jewish Students ( WUJS ), and more.

It is sub-divided into nine Unions / National Churches ( which are further divided into local Conferences ) plus one attached Mission.

In 1947 this ceased to exist as the main stream of Anglican Churches joined the Church Unions of South and North India present CSI and CNI.

The clubs come under the fifty three ( 53 ) Regional Unions of Football Clubs.

Official labor unions have been grouped under the Federation of Labor Unions.

Despite the equalisation of rates, the dispute regarding the moneys paid for outdoor relief would continue for some years until the abolition of the Poor Law Unions, and therefore Poplar's power to provide outdoor relief, under the Local Government Act 1929.

Unions must have an executive body and that executive must, under TULRCA 1992 sections 46 to 56, be elected at least every five years, directly in a secret, equal postal vote of union members, and if irregularities are alleged, complaints can be taken up by the Trades Union Certification Officer.

The Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Unions began in 1881 under the leadership of Samuel Gompers.

Relatively few Gilbert Unions were set up, but supplementing inadequate wages under the Speenhamland system did become established towards the end of the 18th century.

Despite the increase in the number of seats returned by geographical constituencies and the record turnout, the Democratic Party ( 民主黨 ) lost the status of being the largest political party in the Legislative Council to the pro-government Democratic Alliance for Betterment of Hong Kong ( who secured 12 seats if including the two members who ran under the banner of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions ) and pro-business Liberal Party ( who secured 10 seats ) parties, thereby becoming only the third-largest party.

It was established in 1987 under the decree issued by VCSPS ( All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions ) and USSR State Committee of Labor as All-Union Public Opinion Research Center ( in 1992 renamed as – Russian Public Opinion Research Center ).

It was created in 1957 out of two very old unions, the Fédération provinciale du travail du Québec ( Quebec Provincial Labour Federation ) and the Fédération des unions industrielles du Québec ( Federation of Quebec Industrial Unions ), and was mostly developed under the presidency of Louis Laberge from 1964 to 1991 with help from American unions that were afraid of seeing industry relocated in Canada.

They are part of the World Data Center System initiated in 1957 to provide a mechanism for data exchange, and they operate under guidelines issued by the International Council of Scientific Unions ( ICSU ).

Most of these programs, only a few of which are mentioned here, fall under the aegis of the International Council of Scientific Unions ( ICSU ).

The Comintern had already established similar organizations for the radical youth movement and the trade union movement — the Young Communist International ( KIM ) and the Red International of Labor Unions ( Profintern ), respectively — and the idea that a radical international for peasants should be established under Comintern auspices.

Unions and employers may also generally require employees to exhaust their rights under the grievance arbitration procedures provided for under the collective bargaining agreement before suing the employer for breach of contract.

The poorest applied for relief under the Poor Laws, through the Poor Law Unions.

In the event, measures taken to break the blockade by crowds organised by the Trades Unions of the London docks, by organising convoys of lorries under military escort took the heart out of the strike, so that the measures did not have to be implemented.

* The Federation was founded in 1926, by the three Unions of Football Clubs of Athens, Piraeus and Macedonia-Thrace, is a Private legal entity, a non profit association, which, according to Civil Law, has its registered offices in Athens under the name of Hellenic Football Federation.

In the UK mass picketing was made illegal under the Trade Disputes and Trade Unions Act 1927 after the 1926 General Strike.

The WCL was founded at The Hague in 1920 under the name of the " International Federation of Christian Trade Unions " ( IFCTU ) as a confederation of trade unions associated with the Christian Democratic parties of Europe.

Nowadays in the UK they fall under Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies and Credit Unions Act 1965 ( as it will be renamed by section 2 of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies and Credit Unions Act 2010 which is not yet in force ; currently the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965 ) and subsequent legislation to the present day such as The Friendly and Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1968 ( Audit Exemption ) ( Amendment ) Order 2006-Statutory Instrument 2006 No. 265 ( which increased the audit exemption threshold level for industrial and provident societies to £ 5. 6m ) and the Legislative Reform ( Industrial and Provident Societies and Credit Unions ) Order 2011-Statutory Instrument 2011 No. 2687 which increased the maximum shareholding limit, changed the date of submission of the annual return, permitted children to be members, and allows the publication of unaudited interim accounts.

The union was the first to registered under the Trade Unions Act.
