The Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education ( IVE ) provides training in nine different vocational fields, namely: Applied Science ; Business Administration ; Child Education and Community Services ; Construction ; Design ; Printing, Textiles and Clothing ; Hotel, Service and Tourism Studies ; Information Technology ; Electrical and Electronic Engineering ; and Mechanical, Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering.

Residents have established resources to balance the contradictions and stresses that can arise in these circumstances, notably the Martha's Vineyard Commission and Martha's Vineyard Community Services, founded by the late Dr. Milton Mazer, author of People and Predicaments: Of Life and Distress on Martha's Vineyard.

The Town Council has three committees: Finance and General Purposes ; Planning ; and Community Services as well as a Personnel Sub-Committee, a Grievance Panel and numerous Working Groups.

Saratoga has redeveloped an old school building into the multi-use Platte Valley Community Center, which hosts concerts, lectures, theatrical performance, and community events.

One of the largest live-performance venues in the region, the 600-seat Community Concert Hall hosts local, regional, and national music, comedy, drama, lecture, and dance acts in an intimate setting.

Frazier Park hosts a branch of the Charter Oaks Community Charter School, headquartered in Bakersfield.

Revitalization is being attempted by the Suitlandfest Community Development Corporation, which hosts and designs activities, programs and events that try to bring forth positive change and enhance the education, recreation, health and fitness, artistic development, and social and economical conditions in this at-risk but growing area.

* Kirtland Center for the Performing Arts, located at the Kirtland Community College in Roscommon, Michigan hosts many visiting performers, including regular visits from The Second City traveling ensemble.

During the summer, the Portland Community Arts Council hosts " Thursdays on the Grand ," a free concert series every Thursday evening.

The Historic Holmes Theatre, a physical and organizational branch of the Detroit Lakes Community and Cultural Center complex, is a recently renovated Art Deco theatre that hosts year-round music, drama and dance performances.

Middletown also hosts two public magnet schools, High Technology High School, on the property of Brookdale Community College, located in the Lincroft section of town, and the Marine Academy of Science and Technology located on Sandy Hook, which are part of the Monmouth County Vocational School District.

The town also hosts a free concert series on Tuesday nights during the summer, located on the lawn of the Brunswick Community Center.

Currently there is an elementary school and a community pool / center run by the North County Recreation District which hosts a number of classes including those for Tillamook Community College.

The Kempton Community Center hosts the annual Pennsylvania Renewable Energy Festival in September.

Saulsbury hosts three major events each year: a Christmas tree-lighting, the Community Celebration, and a home decorating contest, all in December.

The Marrowstone Island Community Association hosts the Strawberry Festival each year.

These include the civic ice arena which hosts 2 NHL and one Olympic-sized rinks, a skate park downtown, and the Midland Community Tennis Center and its 32 courts.

The nearby Bartlesville Community Center, designed by William Wesley Peters, one of Wright's students, hosts the " OK MOZART " International Festival, an annual week-long music event in June.

Mytholmroyd Community Centre hosts the annual Dock Pudding Championships in April, attended in 2007 by Robbie Coltrane who entered the competition and came second, and the Mytholmroyd Gala takes place every July.

EDC hosts a suite of six environmental programs: Ecokids, EcoMentors, EcoAction Teams, Community Environment Fund, Hometown Heroes and the Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program.

Located between the Town Square and Community College, the fairground each year hosts the Jefferson County Fair, which is the oldest continually operating fair in America.

North and west of the campus, within the University District, the University Heights — a name now little used — was named for its elementary school ( 1903 – c. 1988 ; since 1990 the University Heights Center for the Community Association, hosts numerous activities small and large from the University District Community Clean Up to the University District Farmer's Market.

Twin Oaks also hosts annual intentional community gatherings which are cosponsored by the Fellowship for Intentional Community.
