By mid 1977, this had solidified into a steady lineup featuring, in what would be the first of several bands together over many years, Trevor Thoms and Ermanno Ghisio-Erba, later better known to Inner City Unit ( ICU ) fans as Judge Trev and Dino Ferari.

He then guested on the album Fairy Tales by Williamson and Gilli Smyth's project Mother Gong, and out of this he, Mo Vicarage and Ermanno Ghisio-Erba ( a. k. a. Dino Ferari ) formed Inner City Unit ( ICU ) with Trev Thoms and Dead Fred.

Inner City Unit ( ICU ) is a British punk / space rock band fronted by ex-Hawkwind founder Nik Turner on saxophone with Judge Trev Thoms or Steve Pond ( guitar ), Dead Fred ( keyboards ), Baz Magneto, Dave Anderson or Nazar Ali Khan ( bass ), and Mick Stupp or Dino Ferari on drums.

In the 1980s original guitarist Judge Trev Thoms started a three-piece metal band named Atomgods which, for a while, also featured second ICU guitarist Steve Pond on bass.

Judge Trev Thoms died of pancreatic cancer on December 8, 2010.

Steve Pond, Dead Fred and Mick Stupp still play together in a band called Krankschaft, sometimes joined by Nik Turner and Dave Anderson to perform Inner City Unit songs as a tribute to Judge Trev Thoms.

He played with former Tyrannosaurus Rex percussionist Steve Peregrin Took's band Steve Took's Horns alongside Trev Thoms on guitar.

He also played gigs as Trev and Kev with Kev Ellis, singer from Bubbledubble.

Judge Trev and Stupp were unavailable for the making of the next album New Anatomy so they recruited Steve Pond, who had previously toured with ICU during the shows for the Passout album as synth player, to play guitar and program the drum machine.

In the 1990s Judge Trev used the ICU name for his own band with original drummer Dino Ferari, releasing one album Now You Know the Score as Judge Trev's Inner City Unit.

Branson made several appearances during the nineties on the BBC Saturday morning show Live & Kicking, where he was referred to as ' the pickle man ' by comedy act Trev and Simon ( in reference to Branston Pickle ).

An opening batsman, he made his Test debut in the 5th Test against West Indies at Sydney in January 1952, alongside fellow debutants George Thoms, also an opening batsman, and Richie Benaud.

Uniquely, Thoms and McDonald also opened the batting for the same state team, Victoria, and the same club team, Melbourne University that season.

Thoms has also made guest appearances on Law & Order and The Shield.
