After his death, the Looney Tunes cartoon Daffy Duck for President, based on the book that Jones had written and using Jones ' style for the characters, originally scheduled to be released in 2000, was released in 2004 as part of disc 3 of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 2 DVD set.

The release of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 3 includes a disclaimer at the beginning of each DVD in the volume given by Whoopi Goldberg which explains that the cartoons are products of their time and contain racial and ethnic stereotypes that " were wrong then and they are wrong today ", but the cartoons are going to be presented on the DVD uncut and uncensored because editing them would be the same as denying that the stereotypes existed.

A written disclaimer, similar to the words spoken by Goldberg in Volume 3, is shown at the beginning of each DVD in the Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 4, Volume 5, and Volume 6 sets, as well as the Daffy Duck and Foghorn Leghorn Looney Tunes Super Stars sets:

" This short, so-called " blooper " can also be found on the Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 4 of 2006, under the title Porky's Breakdowns ( with several versions of the clip, making it look like a true " blooper "), and on an Each Dawn I Die DVD box set, also released in 2006.

The Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 4 collection includes a similar disclaimer, written on a gold card and merely summarized the point that while the cartoons are considered offensive today for what they depict, they are not going to be shown censored because editing out the racist depictions — and therefore effectively denying that the racism of the era ever happened — is worse than actually showing them.

The episodes are in the order that they originally aired ( except for the five-part serial " Treasure of the Golden Suns ," placed at the beginning of Volume 2 ).
