Warr Acres is a city in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States, and a part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.

The Warr Acres housing addition and Warr Acres Second Addition was developed in 1937 by Clyde B. Warr.

An addition that would later form part of the city of Warr Acres, Putnam City was developed by state lawmaker Israel Putnam in 1909.

The City of Warr Acres is a mayor-council form of government.

The Mayor of Warr Acres is Pat Woolley and the city council is composed of David Dirkschneider, Jan Blake, Roger Godwin, Bill McClure, Dr. Stewart Shapiro, Blayne Allsup, Cathy Maxey and Doug Davis.

He eventually moved to Warr Acres, a suburb of Oklahoma City.

Istook also was director of the Oklahoma State Alcoholic and Beverage Control Board ( 1977 – 1978 ), was legal counsel to popular Oklahoma Governor David L. Boren ( 1978 ), and was a member of the board of the Oklahoma County metropolitan library system ( 1982 – 1986 ), chairman of the Warr Acres city council ( 1982 – 1986 ), director of the Warr Acres Chamber of Commerce, and an Oklahoma state representative 1987 – 1993.

This doctrine is a 17th century innovation, although it is now applied retrospectively for centuries ; the seventh Baron De La Warr had three surviving sons ; the first died without children, the second left two daughters, the third left a son.

The state takes its name from Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr, an English nobleman and Virginia's first colonial governor, after whom what is now called Cape Henlopen was originally named.

It is named after the Delaware River, which was named in honor of Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr, appointed governor of Virginia in 1609.

Accordingly, some writers ignore the second creation when numbering: thus Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr is sometimes called 12th Baron De La Warr.

The " De La Warr " in both the pavilion's name and the Earl's name is pronounced " Delaware " ( as in the American state ).

Much of the area is rural ; the hamlet of Buckhurst, part of the parish, contains ‘’ Buckhurst Park ‘’, where Earl De La Warr lives.

39th Expressway, still carrying SH-66, forms the main street of both Bethany and Warr Acres, two enclave suburbs of Oklahoma City.
