* 1960 – Warren Haynes, American guitarist and songwriter ( The Allman Brothers Band, Gov't Mule, and The Dead )

The group found stability during the 2000s with bassist Oteil Burbridge, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks, ( the nephew of their drummer ), serving as its guitarists, and became renowned for their month-long string of shows in New York City each spring.

The Dickey Betts Band, including Warren Haynes, was also formed during this time and released the album Pattern Disruptive in 1988.

Warren Haynes and Allen Woody formed their own side project Gov't Mule in 1994.

Warren Haynes began appearing with the Allmans again in 2000 and rejoined full-time in 2001, while also maintaining his active schedule with Gov't Mule.

In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine named Duane Allman, Warren Haynes, Dickey Betts, and Derek Trucks to their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, with Allman coming in at No. 2 and Trucks being the youngest guitarist on their list.

The Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks lineup continued the band's connection with younger music fans via concert pairings with popular jam bands The String Cheese Incident, moe, and Dave Matthews Band among others.

On December 17, 2005, the band performed at the 14th annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam in Asheville, North Carolina.

Reuniting McCain with collaborator Maia Sharp ( who also produced ), Mercy Bound features additional artistic input from Angie Aparo, Mark Addison and Anders Osborne, as well as guitar work from Warren Haynes.

Phil Lesh & Friends has recently scheduled a short run of shows for 2012, starting with the Warren Haynes Christmas Jam.

Producer Greg Hampton, who has previously worked on such archival Bolin releases as Whips and Roses is currently co-producing ( with Gov't Mule leader Warren Haynes ) a star-studded tribute to Bolin-title and release date TBA.

He also appears briefly with Warren Haynes in the documentary Rising Low which documents the work of the band Gov't Mule following the death of bassist Allen Woody.

The Gibson EDS-1275 electric 12-string was used by jazz fusion guitarist John McLaughlin of Mahavishnu Orchestra, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, Guns N ' Roses guitarist Slash, Warren Haynes of Gov't Mule and The Allman Brothers Band, Cory Stuteville of Year Of The Dragon, Alex Lifeson of Rush, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth, Jeff Buckley and System of a Down and Scars on Broadway guitarist Daron Malakian, Taylor Swift.

Other well known guests include Joan Baez, Warren Haynes, Al Schnier, Ekoostik Hookah, Trey Anastasio, Les Claypool, DJ Logic, John Popper, Dickey Betts, Sammy Hagar, Susan James and Keller Williams.

The Phil & Friends concept takes the music of the Grateful Dead ( and an ever-increasing number of other influences, including Bob Dylan, Traffic, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Warren Haynes ' Gov't Mule, the Allman Brothers, etc.

From April 1999 to September 2000, Lesh toured with a regularly rotating lineup of musicians that included Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Jorma Kaukonen, Jimmy Herring, Robben Ford, and members of Phish, Little Feat, The String Cheese Incident and Moe.
