Entry into Wing Bowl can be gained in two ways, the first of which is successfully performing an " eating stunt " on air during The Morning Show at the 610 WIP studios in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, with Al Morganti as judge.

If a person offers to perform a drinking stunt, it must be compelling to the hosts, such as Wing Bowl XIV champion Joey Chestnut's offer to drink a gallon of milk.

The other way to gain entry to Wing Bowl is to win a " Wingoff.

The winner of these " Wingoffs " gain automatic entry into the Wing Bowl.

In 2002, Philadelphia native Bill ″ El Wingador ″ Simmons became the first competitor to win the Bowl three times ; Kevin " Heavy Keavy " O ' Donnell had won Wing Bowl II and Wing Bowl III in ' 94 and ' 95.

Featuring a starkly lit set, the Isolar – 1976 Tour highlighted songs from the album, including the dramatic and lengthy title track, the ballads " Wild Is the Wind " and " Word on a Wing ", and the funkier " TVC 15 " and " Stay ".

On 15 August 1947, the 1st Fighter Wing was activated as part of AAF Regulation 20-15, " Reorganization of AAF Base Units and Installations ," on 27 June 1947.

In preparation for this transfer, Air Training Command had activated the 3650th Pilot Training Wing at Columbus on February 15.

A change of mission for the base occurred on 15 July 1961 when the 341st Strategic Missile Wing was reassigned to Malmstrom.

The 301 ARW was subsequently inactivated and replaced by the 43d Air Refueling Wing ( 43 ARW ) as a KC-135R unit reporting to Fifteenth Air Force ( 15 AF ), then located at March Air Force Base, California.

Since February 15, 1974 the Thunderbirds have been a component of the 57th Wing at Nellis AFB.

The 57th Fighter Weapons Wing was activated at Nellis on 15 October 1969, replacing the 4525th FWW as a tenant wing although Nellis remained under the jurisdiction of Tactical Air Command and the 474th Combat Support Group remained the base operating host organization.

These changes led to the unit being re-designated as the 57th Wing on 15 June 1993, to reflect its composite composition.
