Gulf County's highway transportation needs are met with three main corridors: U. S. Route 98 along the coast and through Port St. Joe providing a route west to Panama City, Florida and east to Apalachicola, Florida, State Road 22 westward from Wewahitchka, Florida to Panama City, Florida, and State Road 71 from Port St. Joe northward toward Alabama and Georgia.

Holiday is bordered on the South by the City of Tarpon Springs / Pinellas County Line, the Gulf of Mexico on the West ( with access from the Anclote River Park, Gulf Park, and Key Vista Park in Holiday ), The city of New Port Richey to the north, and Trinity / Odessa to the east.

New Port Richey has four high schools, Gulf High School, Ridgewood High School, River Ridge High School, and J. W. Mitchell High School.

Of the four, only Gulf High School is located within the city limits of New Port Richey.
