Commodore and International
In order to bring the design to market Commodore International bought Amiga Corporation and funded development.
The Commodore 1541 ( also known as the CBM 1541 and VIC-1541 ) is a floppy disk drive ( FDD ) which was made by Commodore International for the Commodore 64 ( C64 ), Commodore's home computer.

Commodore is the commonly used collective name for Commodore International Limited and the various national companies that operated underneath it, including Commodore Business Machines ( CBM ), the U. S .- based home computer and electronics manufacturer with headquarters in West Chester, Pennsylvania that it shared with its parent.
In 1962, Commodore went public at New York stock exchange under the name of Commodore International Limited.
Commodore had been reorganized the year before into Commodore International, Ltd., moving its financial headquarters to the Bahamas and its operational headquarters to West Chester, Pennsylvania, near to the MOS Technology site.
Escom paid US $ 14 million for Commodore International, primarily for the Commodore brand name.
Yeahronimo Media Ventures soon renamed itself to Commodore International Corporation and started an operation intended to relaunch the Commodore brand.
